wild florida airboats

We enjoyed visiting Wild Florida on a beautiful 80 degree day in March 2015. It is an easy half-day of fun. The park is clean and inviting, especially for an animal sanctuary. There is a restaurant on site and the food was good. The staff was exceedingly friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife and the environment. Jordan was an excellent host. We especially enjoyed the airboat ride. (I don't know if there is alternative access for wheelchairs, but the rest of the park is accessible.) The front seats can get a little damp, but the view is terrific. The captain would stop for photos of the wildlife and Q & A's. This is a perfect alternative to the hustle and bustle of the nearby theme parks, especially with elementary and younger children (who'll love the animals), and folks who want a "natural alternative" and the thrill of speeding along the lake on an airboat.

We booked the 1 hour airboat tour. We weren't successful seeing any gators due to the weather but the ride was still fun and the guide was very informative. We both said 1/2 an hour would have been sufficient for us. The zoo area was great...the Macaws are quite the talkers lol. Lots of different animals and great staff! Reasonable prices. We didn't try the restaurant.

We scheduled our airboat ride for early morning but the fog was so thick we decided to wait until later. Great decision, because when the sun is shining, the alligators find warm spots to sun themselves. We rode through Lake Cypress through the grasses and plant life and saw not only many alligators (including little two year old babies) but incredible birds....herons, ducks, and even an eagle and turtles. After we returned, There was an educational demonstration during which you could touch and hold several different exotic animals. The park is well-equipped with many animal exhibits, a small cafe with outside picnic tables and a fun gift shop. I highly recommend this and try to pick a sunny morning.

My family had a great time at Wild Florida. Yes, it was a little cold while on the airboat ride, but worth it to see all the gators, bald eagles, turtles and snakes!!! Our tour guide Mark was awesome! He had lots of stories and was quite entertaining. The zoo part of it was very good too. You get to hold, pet and interact with some of the animals (Fluffy the gator was my fav!) Overall, great afternoon and well worth the price paid!

Was given complementary tickets off ocean florida to visit here. Wish I had allowed more time as we all enjoyed our time with the staff and animals, not to forget the gators and airboat trip. If you want a real look at what Florida has to offer come away from the theme parks for a day and check these guys ( and girls ) out. Good job!
