Been playing the course for many years. New manager has made huge improvements in course. Still has a ways to go but improvement in short amount of time seems to indicate that improvements will continue. Course has potential to be best in area.
Love the clientele, the folks here are the best, and the waitstaff are the friendliest around. Friday night happy hour rocks....
I was embarrassed for this golf club... the conditions of the course were horrendous, greens had clumps of grass all over them and were patchy. I will definitely never waste my money golfing here again.
Was glad to get a $19.50 deal for this course since I was told it was a very difficult and great course. I started to worry that on a Sunday morning, there were no lines at the first tee and things got worse when we putted on the practice green. They were terrible and the terrible condition continued throughout the course. The ball would routinely bounce 1 to 2" in the air as it travels to the hole. The fairways were hard and dry and the sand traps were more like dirt traps as many of them had weeds growing in them. I could not recommend this course to anyone which is sad because the location and the layout are great. It seems that the owner is just not putting the money into the course to keep it top notch.
Convenient location and good Ina all aspects except for the condition of the course. Fees are reasonable.
I don't understand how anyone can give more than 1 star on this course. This course has been severely abandoned. At some of the greens there is more weeds than grass. I have never played at a course this bad. It is close to me, so I am hoping new management takes over some day and fixes it up, as this can be a very nice course. However, as it is I would not be $5 to play on it.Sorry :-(
I feel really bad for the people who live there. This was shockingly bad. I am surprised it is open. Amazed they took my money. The old Links at 434 was upscale compared to this.
We played this course in 2011 and we were very disappointed with the condition of the course and a score card that had no information on it except the par rating per hole and distance. However we decided to give this course a second chance and we were very surprised at the difference in the course this year. Tons of water on this course I think maybe lake Mary is missing tons of water as there is water on 15 holes and the layout is exceptional. A vast improvement in such a short time. Being for Montreal Quebec we are used to courses with an abundance of water holes and this course fit into our game. Bring lots of balls as if you mishit a shot you can say bye bye and drop another one and play on. fairways were in good condition and the greens were superb, we will play this course again next year as it is on our "A" list of courses to play. Would recommend this course to all golfers no matter their level of play great time out there.
The course is challenging but fun. Carts are well maintained and new. You need to think through your shots a little more than average here. The owner has put money into renovations and a new teaching facility with Mike Bender. Its worth a visit if you haven't been here before.
We golfed as a foursome on February 28th, there was no starter or rangers to be seen on the course. Golf etiquette did not exist, golfers were jumping ahead of groups. We all got eaten alive by sand flies from top to bottom which has never happened before. Contacted the management of the course to raise the concerns and got nothing back in return but lip service. We will never return to this course.
Monthly membership is very affordable for a great test of golf. This course has plenty of trouble spots, however it allows for momentum throughout the round if you pick your spots.
