This review is for the Bouncin Big in Gainesville, Florida. Let me start out by saying I am a mother to five children-so we have been to every kid friendly spot in Gainesville, Florida and Alachua county. Bouncin Big Gainesville was by far the worst place I have ever taken my children in Gainesville. Our experience was terrible. Moms please save your money they have raised their price to $10. per kid! I recommend that you take your kids to The Oaks Mall playground and then use the money you saved by not going to Bouncin Big and take your kids out to lunch and buy them a toy! The facility is tiny and did not have enough activities or space to keep all the children that were there to play entertained. The facility is geared for children under six years old-but there were children much older than six playing and bumping into and running over all of the toddlers. The front desk person was clearly overwhelmed and did not check to see how old the children were when you checked in. There was not enough staff in the play areas to monitor the children or the play areas. I tried to express my concerns to a "staff member"-she was clueless and responded by saying yep there's a lot of kids here. There was no order to this facility and I strongly felt as though the children were going to get injured. We managed to stay 45 minutes until I told my children it was time to leave because it was to chaotic and out of control. Upon leaving the facility I respectfully asked for my money back and to speak with a manager. The employee informed me there was no manager onsite and that I was the first to complain about the facility. I don't believe that for a minute-she tried to blow me off completely. I told her that there were children that were playing too rough and she informed me there couldn't be because she was watching the videos of the children from her desk. Lazy, useless staff with no customer service skills whatsoever. I left the facility and decided to share my experience with the hopes that other mothers will not be conned by these people-Don't waste your time, money or most importantly your children safety!
We visited Bounce House in Newberry in July 2013.The staff was helpful and concerned when grand daughter cut hand. They immediately got what we needed. The staff also helped the children on and off the houses. The snacks there were only of the most basic kinds, so I would bring pizza or sandwiches if you think anyone is going to get hungry. We are planning another trip there this sat. (May 2014') and are bringing friends! The kids can't wait!
I tried to take my 12-year-old there as a treat. We were treated like turds in the punchbowl by staff, then brushed off once they could see we weren't too hyped on their fare.A fairly meager assortment of equipment, though that may be more of me expecting more than anything. It was exceedingly pricey, and between that and the lackadaisical staff, we didn't stay and won't return.
We were invited to the Bouncin Big facility for a birthday party. This was our first time at their business so we didn't know what to expect. It is an indoor facility with about 6 different bounce houses. I loved watching the children on the Velcro wall. It was hilarious!Area is very clean and well organized. Side gate is in place so children aren't able to leave without a parent with them. (There should be some sort of hand stamping system so children don't leave with the wrong adult.) Snack bar available but it is very limited. I was happy to see they offered Veggie Chips!!! I would of loved to see fresh fruit being an option. There is only one private birthday room. It doesn't seem like a safe set up with a door that leads to the lobby. Children could easily walk out the front door if staff and/or parents are not paying close attention. I didn't feel it was safe. Maybe the door should lock once the party people bring in their supplies???? The room has its own bathroom and it is very clean.Overall a really nice place to visit. Very clean and a lot of fun. Give yourself more than 2 hours since I didn't feel like that was enough time for the children to play.
This is mostly a place for kids to bounce around on huge inflatable toys. It is awesome to watch the kids have a blast doing this.
We absolutely love Bouncin Big! There are so many different inflatables to play on and my husband and I even race through the bouncing obstacle course sometimes! We had our daughter's birthday party here this year since she loves it so much and everyone that works there is so nice and so helpful. We will definitely be coming back for much more fun!
My first visit, my husband and I took our nephew. He had a blast. Then my nephew had a lot of friends join him for his birthday ~ great place for the kids! Even my less than 2 year old nephew loved it!
I loved going to bouncing big! The staff is great, and it is so inexpensive. There is about 6-7 inflatables all fun! Even a Velcro wall. They sell candy and drinks and they will order pizza from down the road if you request it. If you go an hour and a half before it closes you may even have the place to yourself! Only downside is the distance from Gainesville, but well worth the $10 for all day of bouncing.
