First of all we tried to find another wildlife park, but could not locate it so settled on this one. First of all the cost of $100 for myself and two young daughters was a bit extreme. I had been to an orangutan rehabilitation centre in Indonesia and was excited to show the kids. What we saw was a pathetic depressed lonely creature surrounded by concrete. That initially upset my kids. However as we left my daughter saw a large blue parrot in a relatively small cage, trying to chew the bars. She could not understand why it was in such a small cage and by itself. Tears flowed...basically it like an animal penitentiary if that is what you] are into and the staff is particularly rude, not worth the drive or money...stay away from this one.

Because I had been to Monkey Jungle as a teen in the 60s I had to return because it left such an exciting mark upon me. We returned with family recently and all my long ago memories returned! Fantastic because the primates ARE FREE.! We are in the cage not them! A very creative way to showcase these mammals. This is NOT a zoo! And it is not Disney. So for those that are looking for that type of viewing experience, it's not for you! It is very simply showcased--- nice for a change. The history of this place is amazing and the same family owns it that owned it back when I was a teen. This family has done research on primate dynamics and other research. I applaud them! Go, if you wish a VERY special experience. For me, it was something I never forgot. Amazing how some seem to need the ultimate instead of the simple, the real thing.

Kids loved this place. Kids loved feeding the Monkeys. Make sure you see the orangutan and Gorilla show. Very entertaining as well as educational. Adults had fun too. Staff very friendly and helpful.

This place is interesting but the monkeys and apes are kept in quite poor conditions. The keepers are knowledgeable but just speaking a script. You walk through a cage that the monkeys climb over to get the food you can leave in the buckets. Occasionally you'll come across another cage with an ape in but they will hide until it's time for the keeper to make them perform a trick.

Not many varieties of monkeys. Like the name implies, it's a jungle! Not many paved paths so pushing a stroller was difficult. Bathrooms were terrible - small and dirty! nO CHANGING TABLES. If you didn't buy the deluxe package at $90 per person you were closed out of the rain forest. That left very little to do. Feed machines were empty! More parrots than monkeys. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY!

Fascinating: Monkey Jungle was a pleasant surprise for our family. This is a great place to spend a few hours. Kids will enjoy feeding the monkeys through the bucket system and watching all of their antics. Adults will enjoy watching the interactions between the monkeys. The gift shop sells packets of raisins for feeding the monkeys, but apparently the real treats are the sunflower seeds that are sold in little gumball machines throughout the property. All it takes is the click of the wheel to attract every monkey within earshot.Unsettling: Having never spent much time observing nonhuman primates, I had no idea how similar their behaviors are to ours. If you have the time, spend as much time here as possible to really observe their behaviors.

This place is beyond fun if you enjoy animals and being able to get up close to them. I go back to Miami just to visit MJ! It's my favorite. Bring some fruit with you like bananas or apples as the monkeys appreciate the variety over raisins.

We had a nice day and enjoyed the surroundings but it should not be this expensive. There were only two of us but thinking of what it would cost a family it is definitely too much. We did the general admission and wouldn't dream of spending 189$ for the rainforest tour! Tour guides were very personable and knowledgeable. Bathrooms were filthy. Overall we were glad we went just too pricey.

We had been here in 1972 and wanted to revisit it. It was even better than we remembered. Back then you could feed the monkeys directly through the fence. Now you put food in a tiny bucket on a chain and the monkeys draw it up hand over hand or you put raisins, seeds or cranberries in a pipe to roll it into the cage. The facilities for the monkeys are superb with real jungle like areas for them to jump, climb and swing in real trees. They seem happy and healthy. The shows are really feeding times and you see an orang-utan, a gorilla, squirrel monkeys and even water diving maques at different times. A great way to see and support monkeys in a wild natural setting. Worth the money!

This is not worth the money. It cost us $57 for two people, and that was with a $3 discount voucher. And for $89 each (includes $29 admission), they let you go on a 45 minute tour into their Rain Forest with the monkeys to feed them. There are 4 short shows where they talk to you about the different species of monkeys they have, but nothing too great. There are actually more cages with birds in the park than monkeys. Only two cages with tubes that allow you to feed the monkeys. Not worth the price of admission.

We came to Florida for a vacation in the beginning part of 2009, and this was one of the first attractions we visited. My husband actually brought in a bag of pistachios he was eating into the park and we were able to reach our hands out to most of the monkeys and they would take them out of our hands and eat them. You're the one who is actually in the cage and the monkeys run around the outside and watch and play with you. Really amazing experience.

The park is in a poor condition and only the little monkeys had the space they should have. Both parrots and the rest of the monkeys had REALLY bad enviroment, and NOT enough space. In Denmark we definately don't treat zoo animals like this. Many of the monkeys lived only on metal fence and no "ground".I'm truly sorry me and my family supported this "jungle".

What a find, privately owned and the care shows. It is a great way to see the animals up close and feed them. The annual pass is the best buy.

It's obvious that the people who work here really care for all the animals and birds, it just looks as if a little extra money wouldn't go amiss. The monkeys who are living free around Monkey Jungle still seem to be happy and healthy but we thought that there seemed to be a lot more animals in cages than the last time we visited. Admittedly, that was a long time ago and my memory's not what it was! Please don't think I'm picking faults, I do realise how hard it must be to run this facility and I have the utmost respect for people who help animals. Perhaps if we visitors paid the entrance fee and made an additional donation that would help, just a thought. The highlight of our visit was the Rainforest Walk, where we were allowed to feed the monkeys by hand. I can't explain the wonderful feeling we got from "interacting" with wild animals, if you get the chance take a trip here and you'll see what I mean.Overall, a place that we should all give more support to and well worth a visit.

Sadly only one gorilla. Ok but expensive ($33 per person). Goes to a good cause but still way over priced.
