Really not a bad seat in the house! Husband, son and I drove over from East side of Florida to watch the Yankees vs Red Sox. Seats were not cheap! First base side in lower section $80 per ticket. We were seated in row JJ. The sun was very strong. If you want a shady seat you must book in row OO or higher. Food outrageously expensive. Bottle of water $4.25, beer $8. Parking $10. House was packed and lively. Easy access from the highway. We would go again but budget appropriately! The 3 of us spent easily $40 per person on food/drink on top of ticket price.

Fans come to spring training to get excited for Americas game. But the players did not feel like taking batting practice. Ushers don't let you down two hours before the game for a chance at an autograph. These fans spend a lot of money to travel down here and the elitist Yankees are too lazy to give some kids a memory of a lifetime. 27 world championships don't give you class.

My wife & I took our two grandsons to watch the Yanks play the Rays Monday 3/9/15. The Steinbrenner family and facilty management should be thoroughly ASHAMED of their greed. The tickets were bad enough - $36.00 a piece for four seats in the last row (nose bleed section) of Section 206. Then $10.00 for parking and $3.00 for a program. Then the real gouging begins!!! I gave my wife $50.00 to get three hot dogs, a Philly cheesesteak, two sodas and two beers. She returned w/ just the food. Hot dogs $8.00/piece, Philly cheese steak $10.00, two choc. milks @ $3.50/piece for a total of $49.00. No beer! We bought beer from one of the in-stand vendors - what a deal @ $8.00/piece. You can buy a six pack (or w/ cheaper beers, a twelve pack) for the price of one beer. Being dutiful grandparents, we also ended up buying two lemonades for $5.00/piece, two "bags" of Crackerjacks for $2.50/piece, two ice creams for $5.00/piece, and one more beer which wife & I split for a total of $303.00. WHAT A DELIGHTFUL OUTING WITH THE GRANDSONS. The Steinbrenner family should be ashamed of this gouging - they are nothing but greedy bas....s!

The definitely have the biggest and most grand stadium in the grapefruit league. Everything is pricey. Be sure to get some of the fresh lemonade to drink it is so cool and refreshing in the warm temps here. Parking is easy and costs the same as most ball parks at $10. Unlike the smaller parks in the league you do not have access to the players at the fence for autographs. You have your typical ball park fare with NYC pizza and dogs in the mix. If buying souvenirs be prepared to pay the high price, especially for those really nice pin striped shirts. Have fun in the sun.

Every seat in the house lets you in on the action. What better place to see the Yankees in spring training? Tampa is known for the pleasantness of its people and this ballpark is no exception. The place is clean and the game is terrific.

Its a great place to see Spring Training New York Yankees games! No umbrellas are allowed in the venue, keep that in mind. Lots of food options, drinks, sodas, etc., ballpark fare with a tasty twist. Its casual so dress accordingly. Covered seats and some in direct sunlight, bring sunscreen and get ready to have fun at the game!

Must see for Spring Training! Arrive early (at least an hour before the gates open) so you can catch some of the players on the small field on the side of GSF. Bring a baseball (or paper) and a pen/sharpie so you can get autographs. Not all players will stop to sign, some will just sign a few, and some players don't even acknowledge the fans. But hey, where else can you get the chance?Wear sunscreen! It might be March but the sun is blaring! Seats are cheaper than regular season and you get so much closer than in NY.

Went for spring training practice session and a few days later for a game. Large stadium for non-major league games. Beautiful stadium and good line of sight almost all seats - upper level left and right fields lose small part of the outfield. Make sure you get seats upper level right field if you want shade - and it was hot in the sun!! Don't miss watching bullpen warmups deep right field - and that is where catchers practice before games start. There are also a few practice fields outside the stadium which provided a place to watch warmups before the official exhibition games start. Also there is a sort-of monuments park in front of the stadium not a true Yankee fan would not want to miss. Parking for practices is in the VIP lot right adjacent to the stadium. Parking for exhibition games is across the street and make sure you arrive very early to beat traffic jams. Parking is $10. Concessions are very expensive at the stadium.

This place is great for Yankees fans. Good food vendors and shops for souvenirs, the service is exceptional. The field is a nice mimic of Yankee stadium striving for perfection. A great vibe in this place! Any need to mention the perfect weather this time of year? No...

If you are driving to this location make sure to come up N. Dale Mabry Hwy (US 92) and not from Dr MLK. While the entrance to parking is on Dr. MLK traffic is controlled and funneled from US 92. Parking is $10.00 on a grass field. Access is via an overpass with stairs that could be an issue for some, but there is also a ramp to the right that you may not notice. Once on the top you can access the disabled entrance on the top tier, but other wise you go back down a ramp, then back up stairs again, for the regular entrance. They don't allow food or drink inside except for Aqua Fina water, since they are a sponsor (by chance I had Aqua Fina.) The view is great with seats that are wide and comfortable. They do restrict movement to the lower part of the field which is a little disappointing for some. Much more restrictions than Boston's Fenway South (Jet Blue Park) or Twins Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers. Beer is a little pricier than either Boston or Twins, and the scoreboard is pretty BLAH. One of the oddest views is sitting there looking at the NY YANKEE name while in the background seeing the Tampa Bay Buc's Football stadium. I frequent the Red Sox Twins, and Rays' spring training games and Minor League games, finding the Boston and Twins' stadiums just a little more fan friendly, intimate, closer, than the Yankees. I'm a Yankee fan so it was worth the trip.

We loved the convenient parking and proximity to the ball park (despite the $10 charge). And the park is nice and clean and easy to see everything from all the seats. Luckily we weren't in the sun as that can be pretty warm but most seats end up shaded by the end of the game.

I'm not a Yankee fan, but we stopped here while in Tampa, because we are sports fans and were interested to see the complex. It's very accessible and has plenty of parking. The monument park outside the stadium is very impressive. So many famous legends are represented.Incidentally there is an empty spot waiting for Derek Jeter's number! While there we got to see batting practice and saw A Rod at bat---pretty impressive-even for a non Yankee fan! It was definitley worth the visit.

Yankees Spring Training games at Steinbrenner Field are lots of fun. Sit along the first base side if you prefer shade and on the 3rd base side if you like sun. Snacks are decent. They have pizza, burgers, dogs, fries, icecream, cotton candy, beer, lemonade, water, cola, Prices are as to be expected at any stadium. $7-9 for a beer, $7 for a lemonade, $8 for a burger and so on.Every seat here has a great view. It's like a smaller version of Yankee Stadium - very cool. What's not cool is the ushers. These are mostly retired people who have waited their whole lives for their positions as a Spring Training Usher in Sunny Florida. They take the role as serious as a member of the Secret Service. If they see anything they deem as a possible infraction of policy, they will come running and make a scene. They wear bright yellow shirts and most of them are at least 79 years old and they don't tolerate any monkey business. They also don't tolerate any common sense. Read on.I'm a handicapped traveler and while the stadium itself is handicaped accessible via spacious ramps, etc., the ushers and the New York Yankee's policy is not. I use a wheelchair to navigate great distances (like from the handicapped parking spots in the Bucs Stadium lot to the stadium). Once I get to the game, I can use the railing to make my way to my seat. However the Yankee's ushers never fail to make me feel like a common criminal for leaving my wheelchair parked at the top of the stairs for the 6-8 minutes it takes me to climb down to my seat. Whoever is attending the game with me ALWAYS takes the chair down to the stroller/wheelchair/walker parking area but the 6-8 minutes it's parked there are DEF CON 5 for these ushers. It's embarrassing and incredibly inhospitable. I know you're probably asking, why don't you just sit in a wheelchair accessible seat? Sometimes they don't have them. Sometimes I want to attend a game and sit in a seat like everyone else. Sometimes I sit by my friends who haven't purchased handicapped accessible seats. The Yankees need to address the issue of people needing to merely park their wheelchairs for a few minutes while they find their seat. No one is trying to pull anything. It's not a matter of national security. In addition, they need to take some of the revenue they generate from $10 per car in parking and pave the "handicapped" portion of the parking lot. Right now there's a long stretch of mud and grass that is not ADA compliant.

While I was in Tampa I had to visit the home of the 27 time World Series Champions the New York Yankees. The ballpark is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. Spring training was not happening while I was there so I couldn't walk around the park but it was a sight to see. Made you want to yell "Play Ball"

The stadium formerly known as Legends Field, really is a true example of the empire that George built. With the monument park outside the stadium, great views from everywhere, and the feel of Yankee Stadium in Florida. Always able to get New York foods there, and the pretzels are the best! Going to Tampa Yankees games is probably the cheapest night out in the area but also one of the funnest. $1 and $2 beers, sodas, hot dogs, and more some nights. $1 tickets some nights as well. Going to Tampa Yankee games I have seen Andy Pettite, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, and more in rehab games along with seeing Brett Gardner, Robinson Cano, Tyler Clippard, Delin Betances, Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy, and so many more playing as recently drafted players making their way towards the bigs.
