I'm a photographer by trade, and this is where I get fantastic shots of both the city and river. There's always something going on and a great addition to the Jax area.

As a photographer, many of my clients want to be photographed at friendship fountain. Many suitors have proposed there, couples take wedding photos there and it overlooks the St. John's river. Not much for smaller children to do, but a nice place to stop off and enjoy the view.

Pretty fountain and a pretty view on the river. Kids liked watching the fountain. There is a brewery nearby for drinks.

Pleasant park, but the access into and out of the park was awkward. Also, there was no access to any kind of a river-walk beyond the small area within the park We wanted to take the ferry across, but they did not appear before we left at 11:30. (Sign said they started at 11 AM which is when we arrived.) We walked across the bridge instead, though again the access to the bridge was torturous. Riverwalk on the opposite side was very nice.

Visiting the Friendship Fountain should be on the list of things to do in Jacksonville. It's beautifully located on the St. Johns River, across from the Jacksonville Landing with a view both east and west that is absolutely stunning when the sun is either coming up or going down. It also has a perfect view of the Main Street Bridge that when lit up at night is magical. It's a photographer's dream with gorgeous reflections in the water. And of course the fountain itself is lovely, especially at night when it's lit up with different colors. There are plenty of benches placed around it for sitting, watching, experiencing, pondering, connecting, reflecting. . . .

Amazing sparkling fountain surrounded by several bridges, the MOSH museum, the river, and the Jax skyline. Ideal for a romantic moment, photo shoot, daytime friends outing, family trip or solo outing.

Since they remodeled the park a couple of years ago, it's a very nice place to see downtown Jacksonville and the St. Johns River. The down side is, parking is terrible, and there are no public restrooms. The marina has restrooms, but they are locked after dark.

This is soooooo underrated, we can't believe nobody told us about this place! We found the fountain by mistake - whilst waiting for the MOSH museum to open. It's beautiful with lots of history and great for pictures - can only imagine what a sight it is at night.Nothing like this in England. Awesome - a must see in Jacksonville.

This was our first stop on a road trip to Jersey. I read the reviews before going and thought it would a good place to stop. It was ok. It's a fountain, by the water, behind a museum. I was expecting a nicer setting. Maybe it's better at night when the lights are on.

I used to love going to this fountain to take pictures. It's beautiful anytime of the day: During the day, if it's sunny with that beautiful blue sky. Or at night when it becomes very colorful. I went once on Christmas and they had music and the water was "dancing" and changing colors according to the song. Amazing! The view to downtown and main bridge from there is stunning, also.

When I saw a video from a friend, it looked like a small fountain. However, when I saw it last week, it was the largest fountain I've seen, and it was just wonderful to sit by to relax. The colors change, there are several spouts for fountains, there is covered and uncovered seating, and you can lean right up against the edge to watch the water.

I made a point to walk across the Main St bridge to go visit the Friendship Fountain because I read reviews that it was stunning. It was a nice fountain but there wasn't anything special about it and it wasn't all that large. My recommendation was don't make a special trip just for it, but enjoy it from the northside of the river (it is located on the southside) as it looks better from afar.

Came down to Jacksonville with some friends and we stopped by the Friendship Fountain and strolled around a bit. Lovely fountain colors at night and a great place to sit, talk and enjoy some time with friends. The view of the river and bridges surrounding the area was also a plus!
