Marlboro College is the summer home of the Marlboro Music Festival. Less than half an hour drive from Wilmington, the classical music festival draws gifted young musicians from all over the world to play chamber music. The festival's first director was legendary pianist Rudolf Serkin, who emigrated to the U.S. from Nazi Germany. Daily rehearsals are open to the public; public concerts are given on the weekend. My wife and I attended three one August weekend this summer....they were sublime.

What I can say is that after visiting for Family Day this last week (Oct 20th, 2012) I was very impressed with the grounds, the faculty and the students I met.
