Staff is friendly but the place is just run down. Smells funny. Could have made changes since i have been there not sure. I Drive to Williston VT to Majestic 10 before i even think about coming here.
Comfortable seating with great quality sound and screens. Concession pricing was average for theaters.
I wanted a small drink but the drinks are only available in a giant size. i wish i had purchased a drink elsewhere and brought it in.
It's the only "game in town" if you want to see a movie. Unfortunately, they only get whatever appeals to Mass Market, but it is cheap and that helps. Ladies' room is a bit scary.
The seats are really comfortable for a small town place. They recline quite a bit and I was happy (I have back issues). Saw Lone Survivor - the action felt very realistic, despite the fact that the screen isn't super huge. Worked out with this theatre considering the ski weekend was rained out.
nice little cinema for a evening out. food is bit expensive. inside the cinema, the sound and visual screening was pretty good, nice a/c fan inside as well however it was a bit loud. admirable miniature cinema, worth a walk out the door for
The only game in town the facility is poorly maintained, rarely has movies worth watching. Better than nothing maybe but you can always wait and watch on your big screen tv at home. They did upgrade to digital projection so the sound and images are pretty good.
Anyone who's lived in the area for a while will remember when these theaters were disgusting and dirty - even though they were practically still brand new! I went in once and there was a crying baby in a diaper behind the counter - apparently brought in by an employee. I'm assuming new ownership is what has brought the wonderful improvements to the theater. Not only is the place really clean now, but new seating has been installed that reclines and is really comfy. If you had given up on this theater, please give it another shot. You won't be disappointed.
The only movie theatre in town, and it shows. I have yet to visit this theatre and NOT have something go wrong with the projector. It seems like there are NO adults ever there on staff. This theatre could DEFINITELY benefit from some adult guidance.....
Very clean, acceptable prices, friendly staff! Husband saw 3 movies while I was in training and he was very happy.
After living in Rutland, VT for the past 13 year's now, I have only been to this theater a few times. We went last month, to see a NEW movie we were dying to see. We went on a matinee, and prices were good. Popcorn & a soda, $$$, as ALL theater's do. The biggest surprise, and WOW, were the new SEAT'S!! We don't know WHEN they put in the new seat's , but they were awesome!!! I can say this as 1 week later, in March, 2012, we went over to Glen's Falls area, Aviation Mall in Queensbury, NY to the mall to see a movie. Seat's there , well, YUK!! Ours in Rutland, VT better? YES, YES, and yes!! And, the area's were clean, bathroom's clean and had a good time! KUDO'S, and thank you...we will be back for the next big feature we want to see!!
As it is the only theater within 30 miles, you can't be too picky. It is fairly expensive (8.50) but they do have some good deals (large popcorn comes with unlimited free refills). I suggest hitting up the dollar store one door down for a soda and candy.
