vergennes falls park

We had read about this park on Trip Advisor and we were glad we did. We were also happy that we found it, off the busy Main St. of Vergennes. It is well worth the stop! The falls are beautiful and the entire setting on Otter Creek is so peaceful. We enjoyed looking at the large pleasure boats that were docked there. Our entire visit was so nice, we were very glad we stopped. We highly recommend it and will be stopping there again I'm sure.

We visit the Falls Park almost every day in Vergennes. It is a peaceful spot and sometimes there are boats that can be toured and/or sailed.

nice area, there was a jr fishing derby going on. Lots of kids with dads, very sweet. great view of the falls and signage telling us the history of the area.

This historic site is worth stopping for the photos and history lesson. Look for it. It is tiny but powerful.

Contrary to another reviewer there was no water this visit. A fallen tree was being removed and debris cleaned up. Obviously the area is well maintained and a lovely spot for a picnic. There is also a nice trail from the Falls with some geocaches.

A pretty little park below the falls. Great spot for fishing Otter Creek or checking for birds in the area. Also, very nice spot to stop for a bit on a warm summer day. Very pretty in the winter w/ice on the falls!!!

They have picnic tables, grills and docking space for larger boats, many stay overnight and walk up to town

Vergennes has so much to see, and this is a great spot to enjoy the Falls, and see Otter Creek, which is a deep water river that connects to Lake Champlain.

The Falls at Vergennes are a beautiful mix of urban and riverine scenery. The park, at the foot of the falls, give a wonderful view of the falls, particularly at sunset in the warm months. Also co-located with the 1812 shipyard of Commodore MacDonough.

The water was gushing over the falls and dam, and the parking area was flooded. Hopefully they will be able to clean it up when the water recedes. It looked like a pretty place.

This is a nice little park just off of Rt 22A. There is a great view of Otter Creek Falls with some picnic tables to boot. You can climb the trees, soak your feet in the water, or just take in the view for a few minutes.

Nous sommes allés à Vergennes en faisant un balade de voiture, quel beau petit village avons nous découvert. La nouvelle Angleterre typique à son meilleur. De plus ce petit parc est charmant et un endroit paisible pour prendre une pause ou un petit pik nik. Même des employés du secteur y vont manger. C'est un endroit paisible, autant le village que le parc.
