Locally owned, family operated movie theater in West Central Ohio. They offer a lot of kid friendly movies, and they have had many midnight premieres. They also have run a special Autism showing of certain films with the auditorium lights at a low level and the volume turned down to make things comfortable for special needs viewers. And unlike a number of the big chain theatres, you won't empty your wallet there. $3.00 admissions ($6 for 3-D showings). Big tubs of quality popcorn, along with other theatre candy favorites. Cold fountain drinks. And well behaved crowds, even when the place is packed.

Our hometown theater is a wonderful venue for family entertainment. They are very inexpensive, and still offer matinee prices as well. Your family of four can still go to a movie, and get popcorn and drinks for @ $20.00- unheard of these days! Service is excellent- and the popcorn is so good that people come to "refill" their buckets even when not attending the movie! Come check it out.

The Shannon Theater is a wonderful, family friendly theater. The popcorn is great, inexpensive and refills are also inexpensive & plentiful. It's an older theater, but they work very hard to get the new movies (especially kid friendly shows) as soon as they are available. Only problem is that it's such a popular place, if they are showing a "everybody wants to see" movie, you need to get there EARLY. Great thing is that at least you have popcorn & refills to fill the time until the show starts.

A small town jewel. You have to be patient because the big movies take a week or two to get here but worth it. Tickets are $3 or book of 10 tickets for $20. Food and drinks are really inexpensive. The seats are older and closer than the big theaters but comfortable enough. The crowd tends to be well behaved. The restrooms are clean. Shannon also offers movies every so often that are for children with disabilities where they leave the lights on, lower the sound, etc. A nice little place in a thriving real downtown.

We like to go to the Shannon because of the prices. Movies are $3 and popcorn and drinks are really cheap too. It isn't theater seating, just average seats. The floors can be a little sticky too. If it's a new movie you need to get there early, it will be sold out. So if you aren't into the newest theater seating, this place is for you. You can always find friends there since it's in a small town.

Shannon Theatre usually shows 1-2 movies a week. Often they will have one kid/family feature and one that is more for adults. There are 2 evening shows each day I think (1 at 7:30 and 1 at 9:30 if I am remembering correctly) and I know they have a showtime sometime during the day too, but that may only be on weekends. I've seen maybe 5 movies there over the course of about as many years. I think the movie ticket is only $3, which is pretty darn cheap, and the popcorn, pop, and slushies are a good price as well. The movies are usually pretty current compared to what other area theaters are showing (sometimes slightly behind). The picture quality, sound, etc. all seem fine. The company also owns Shirley's Popcorn, which is right next door. If they are open, you are allowed to buy some of their specialty popcorn (I recommend the Buckeye, it is the most popular and it is divine) and eat it in the theatre. They only sell regular buttered popcorn inside the actual theatre.
