If enjoying wine in the outdoors appeals to you, try Hanover Winery. Sampling their delicious wines in a relaxed outdoor venue is fun with a couple or group. We sampled and then bought our favorite ones to take home. Take a few snacks along and enjoy!
What a find! On a cold and wet Saturday I ventured out to Hanover Twp. for a wine tasting not really knowing what to expect. There is a nice wine tasting room which is very inviting and clean. The people who own and work at the winery were very friendly and enthusiastic about what they do. Six tastes of your choice of wine with a souvenir glass is $6 with additional tastes for 50 cents. The wine list was much bigger than I would have expected and my friend and I liked everything we tasted. The grounds of the winery are beautiful with a pond and some picnic tables. In nice weather one can bring in a picnic, buy a glass or bottle of wine and relax listening to musicians that they sometimes bring in. I will definitely go back. It will be a great way to unwind in a lovely atmosphere.
Hanover Winery is such a pleasant surprise! The owners are friendly, knowledgeable and great at what they do. You can have a glass of wine by the pond on a nice day and enjoy the live music they commonly host. It is fun to sample the many wines they have!
Family owned and run winery. Excellent variety and flavors of wine.....entertainment on weekends.....just the right amount of everything.
Wonderful wine, friendly staff, awesome place to go for a great relaxing evening and tasty wine. This a perfect place to go with your friends or family especially when they have music on the weekends.
My wife and I really enjoy our trips to Hanover Winery. Great place to relax and enjoy some wine. It is one of the few place I can go with my wife and find wine that we both enjoy drinking. If you are a fan of Pinot Noir then try their Chambercon. The flavor is hard to beat and suprisingly fruity for a Semi Dry. If you are like my wife and need something sweet, they have quite a few including their Reisling, Pink Toad, Sweet Lizzy, Cranberry and Blackberry (I think that one is new).
Went to a wine tasting on a Friday night here. We brought a picnic basket with cheese, crackers and fruit with us. Tasted several wines and bought a bottle of white and red. They had a solo guitar player who did a great job and wide range of music. They had some crafters there (mostly jewelry and melted bottle gifts) early in the evening. If you want a low-key, outdoors evening this is the place. There are some picnic tables but you're best off bringing a blanket or chairs of your own. The owners are very friendly and easy going. We will go back again. They have different activities so go to their website and see what's coming up...
I normally can't drink red wine because of the tannins. It gives me a headache. But Hanover Winer's Red Table wine is the exception. I love it. It's fruity and rich and let sme enjoy red wine again.
Not been open for very long and doesn't have a big following yet, but wait, once you have been there, you will go back time & time again !!!
One of my favorite ways to relax after a long week is to visit the Hanover Winery, one of the best attractions in Butler County. Located near Oxford/Miami University, the winery is open Thursday through Saturday. The wines are wonderful--they range from dry to sweet, with new varieties regularly introduced. You can visit the tasting room and then buy a bottle to enjoy outside. Bring a picnic, and be sure to check out the live music during the summer months. The owners, Eddie and Beth McDonald, treat you like family. Highly recommended!
