I usually get to at least 4-5 classes per year. I've done participation, hands-on and demonstration classes. Always a great time and great food. None of the classes have been intimidating. Loretta Paganini is so much fun and shares so many great tips. All the instructors have been great. My husband is now going with me to the classes and loves them!
My daughter & I recently attended a "Bake & Take" Christmas Cookie Class. We each made 5 dozen cookies to take home (5 different kinds) Each cookie utilized a different process so not only was the class fun & delicious, it was educational as well. Stephanie was a great instructor & her assistants were very eager to help. The class size was perfect & the variety of cookies made was well thought out.I've been to several classes here now, never lost a finger (!) & will absolutely return.Tip- try NOT to be late, these classes are well organized & need to stick to their schedule.
I was invited by a friend to attend her book club's cooking class. Stephanie Paganini does these cooking experiences based on books read by the club. She is so engaging and fun to watch. I have attended other classes over the years and they are all great.
My teenage son and I took a 4 hour cooking class, taste of Tuscany and it was wonderful! Taught by the owner Loretta it was a great experience. We gained a lot of knowledge on making home made pasta and Italian dishes and were full when we left. The class size is small and hands on. Loretta is charming and a great teacher. We will be taking more classes in the future!
In our area this cooking school is well know. But Loretta has added a new wrinkle that is dear to us, adding a Gluten Free class. Most of my family has to be GF, so this class was a life enhancer for all of us.
We have dined twice at this fine culinary institute. The meals we very good and the opportunity to describe our reactions to the individual courses enhanced our appreciation of fine cuisine.
During a recent visit to Cleveland a friend arranged for us to take a cooking class. The theme was Jamacian; our teacher Tim McCoy. The class and food were wonderful. A great teacher, he gave detailed instructions; good cooking and ingredient tips and usefull handouts. I look forward to our next visit and class!
My wife and I recently took the 75-mile drive and celebrated my birthday at the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking's "Braising, Ragout and Stewing" class. If you're interested in cooking, or in the case of this class, cooking and eating, the staff at LPSC puts on a fine 2-hour presentation. We were shown how to make a beef, chicken and pork entree, as well as a dessert, and ate them all. Chef Tim McCoy was the instructor for the class and, in our opinion, did a fantastic job. He's a down-to-earth guy who comes across quite well in this intimate (19 students) setting. He was already prepping and talking to early birds before the class started and stayed after answering questions and trading stories until the last person left. As another reviewer reported, it makes for a great date night, but I'd now feel comfortable going solo as well. The curriculum was presented in a way that made me, a novice cook, feel as if I could pull all four meals off. We certainly have no trouble giving this venue the highest of recommendations.
If you love food and cooking, then this International School outside of Cleveland, OH is a must attend. While they offer professional cooking degrees in Pastry and Savory, there recreational cooking classes really are outstanding. Loretta herself teaches most of them. She is a first rate chef, great instructor, and a down right charming, gracious and fun to be around. She is from Bologna Italy, hence you get some great Northern Italian recipes. The facility is state of the art, has four large kitchens, great equipment along with a host of other very talented chefs that teach everything from Sushi 101 to Gluten free foods.Like to cook, then make time to attend this gem of a place.
I can't believe LPSC has not been on TripAdvisor until now. It's one of our favorite things to do in Chesterland! They offer cooking classes for kids as well as adults. Some classes are hands on, some are a demonstration. My husband and I have taken 3-4 classes here together and it makes a great "date night" event - something different than a dinner and a movie. In fact, they actually have a date night option where you can drop your kids off to a cooking class while mom and dad enjoy a wonderful dinner at Sapore, the restaurant right next door. Talk about making life easy!No matter what class you sign up for, you always leave SO full from eating the delicious dishes you make. You can BYOB, too. I have done their girls night out class and those are a lot of fun. I also scheduled a private girls night out class for the ladies at our church. To see a listing of the classes offer, just visit their website. You will see the title of the class and can click for a description of the class, who is teaching it, if it's hands on or demonstration, etc. You can sign up and pay online which is very convenient. They also have gift certificates so if you're looking for a gift idea for a couple or newly weds or for kids camp - this makes such a neat option. One thing to keep in mind is that classes sell out FAST - so even if a class is 2-3 months away, sign up for it because if you wait, it will fill up.
