It has the most beautiful trees I've seen. Lots of playground equipment for children, and plenty of opportunities for just sitting and relaxing and enjoying nature, There are also some beautiful Swans in the lake!

the city of Chillicothe is very proud of there city park, it is full of trees, picnic shelters, a lake lots of ducks , geese, and swans, it has new play ground equipment, nice place for a outing

Went there for a storytelling festival. Lots of green space and lots of trees make it a perfect park setting.

The park is huge and fun the ducks makes the park so much better. I grew up with this park and it's fun

This park is very large and very well maintained. We had our picnic lunch here under some shade trees after touring Historic Downtown Chillicothe. It is right next to the downtown and very easy to get to.

I used to LOVE this park. They had great shelter house facilities, a playground for the kids, a beautiful lake to fish in, not anymore. For some crazy reason a flock of ducks, geese whatever decided to make the area their home. The city should have gotten rid of them right away, but nope. They let them stay, they have multiplied over and over. You cannot walk your dog, or stroll along the lake with your kids. They ATTACK you. They come running toward you flapping their huge wings, I hate them. And forget about letting the kids play in the grass or tossing a blanket on the ground, its covered with duck poo! They have taken over the whole park and they even hold up traffic on the thru road by walking across it several times daily. They keep the lake water churned up during the winter so it no longer freezes over for skating. We really miss that!

This park is huge and a lot of fun. It would be a good place to stop if you're on a roadtrip and looking for a break. In the playground area, there are pods suited for separate ages and they are all worked around a central area with a water fountain. They recently removed broken or outdated items (so it is looking a little sparse at the moment) but the plan is to have new items in place by the end of the summer. There are numerous shelter houses, as well as a skate park, ball diamonds, duck/fishing pond, a pool, and a lot of walking paths. There is a floodwall along the river that many people walk along.
