gahanna woods state nature preserve

I visited Gahanna Woods Nature Preserve for the first time today. On a Saturday morning I saw 1 person with the exception of my running partner. The preserve is a pleasant, quiet running location with very nice trails padded with wood chips, grass, boardwalks, or rubberized tiles depending on the section. Foliage is maintained almost as a tunnel along the trail, which somehow adds to the experience. I'll go back to this convenient location.

I have found that all the parks and nature preserves in and around Columbus are great. The weather was great to enjoy all outdoor activities while we were there

There are two parks here... Gahanna Woods & a state nature preserve. We live nearby, & go there to walk or run frequently. Because of the shade the trails here are really a great place to log a few miles on a hot day. The paths work their way back & around between the two parks & make it easy to take a relaxing walk/run. Don't be surprised if you see a deer or lots of other woodsy animals.

Very nice preserve, good hiking and look forwardto going back in spring.
