So you can stop by for a tour of a real-working mill, that's the right thing to do, but it's not the only reason. The Mill is incredible and worthwhile for the whole family, but the location is incredible, any time of the year. Incredible views, on a wonderful waterway, with great short hiking trails. Now that you are stopping by bring a little extra change in your pocket, the Mill has a wonderful shop, artesian breads, jams, kitchen goods, but the best part is you can purchase milled grains right on site. Additionally, there is almost always an artists display and works available for purchase. A great stop for everyone! Of note, stop by the bathroom, BEFORE you head out....it is an original Mill after all.

If you are stressed out and want somewhere to go to release all the tension stop at this beautiful working mill. They have crafts and food and coffees to buy. The atmosphere is so soothing. You can hear the stream running behind the mill and during the summer it is great to walk along the paths and see the wheel and the beautiful flowers. This is a must see place!!

Operated by the society that keeps it going. Grinds their own grain, has a coffee shop with art and hi-end crafts available. Take a tour of the mill to see how water power shaped the future of early America. Highly recommended.

I'm a history fan, and since we were in the Greenville, Ohio area visiting KitchenAid we decided to check out this old mill. The mill was built back in 1840's and is still operational today - although mostly just to grind small portions for local businesses. The first floor is mainly a shop with food items, art work, etc. The staff were very hospitable and told us about the mill, and gave us some instructions for the self-guided tour. We were free to explore nearly every inch of the 4 floors of the mill. Each floor had signs to point out each part of the milling equipment and what it's purpose was. There were also numerous antiques and signs thoughtfully displayed on every floor. We were able to take as much time as we needed to discover all the little nuances of the building. After our tour we walked around the grounds. There is a Vietnam War memorial to pay tribute to fallen soldiers who served from Drake County. You can also visit the dam that was built to channel water to the mill. The Mill also displays the talent of local artists, and most items are for sale. If your looking for an eclectic mix of old and new I would recommend a visit to Bear's Mill.
