I love this place! The 47,000 sq. ft. co-op is a collection of over one hundred consignment "shops" and two large furniture rooms. Whether you're looking for something specific or just browsing for the fun of it, you'll most likely find something you'll love... quilts, antique furniture and collectibles, glassware, NASCAR collectibles, jewelry, kitchen items, comic books, toys, etc. You name it and you'll probably find it here. To see everything, plan on spending a couple hours and come back again and again, as the inventory changes often.http://www.craftandantique.com/
My sister-in-laws, who live in the Chardon area, had never even heard of this place, and it is back from the road. It doesn't stand out. But we three, my niece and great-niece spent a delightful morning just browsing through the little shops. I wished I had brought more money with me, as I found several really unusual Items to buy. The prices vary. In the small antique sections, some china or toys were pretty high..others were really low. The best place for bargains was in the furniture section. How I wished I lived close enough to cart some stuff home! The prices were so low! I had one great find... a new Corelle dish in my pattern that I didn't even know existed. It was well priced and I am still rejoicing at my discover.Great place for a rainy or hot day, or just to find that unique something for your house.
If youre looking for old time items and actually some new, then this is the place to go. Vendors have 'little shops' where they have their items all tagged and priced. You take that item to the register and the person whos shop it was gets the credit. Some items priced good but I do have to say, some are outlandished and way too over priced. However, you can find some good finds there
I live right behind the CO OP and it's a virtual amusement park for not just seekers of antiques but for seekers of all kinds of interesting things. It's almost like a huge flea market. Yes there are some items that I would think "Who on earth would want something stupid like this?" but I would rather refer to it as "beautiful junk". But there are also some really nice items for excellent prices. What some people dont know is you dont pay the price on the item but you make an offer on the item to that specific dealer. That's why I found one review on here that said the prices were high. They are actually REALLY reasonable but you dont pay what is listed on the item. Hope this helps...GREAT place to find things to decorate for anyone's taste.
I absolutely LOVE the co-op. the prices are mostly reasonable and their people are nice. There is something for everyone. My only complaint is that they aren't open enough. I work alot and have trouble getting there. I wish they would be open one EVENING per week.
This place is really neat to walk around but dont think you will find a "great find" here. The prices are outragous. If your bored and need somewhere to spend acouple hours go check it out. Free to get in.
When I first saw the amateurish brochure for this attraction I told my husband -"We will stop in there - 20 minutes at the most!". Do not let the brochure put you off- this Craft and Antique Mall is in an old supermarket ( it also looks shabby from the outside but do not let this put you off either). There aren't a lot of crafts- it IS 98% antiques - but there is a ton of them. It took us a good + 2 HOURS to go through the place. I was favorably impressed with the variety of items including a lot of nostalgia. This IS Ohio's largest antique mall . I found that most of the prices were not overly high and in some cases were below market prices for some items. I got an incredible bargain on a collectible plate and would have picked up a 1960's dinette set if I could have figured out how to get it home - a 400 mile trip! This is a MUST SEE for all antique collectors visiting the area, Geneva on the Lake, Painesville, Madison . If we are in the area we will most definitely go back.
