We had a fun mix of people on a lovely late afternoon tour in Wooster. Starting at the meticulously renovated St. Paul Hotel and then moving on to the newly opened Oak Grove Eatery was a great way to start the tour. Our group included several vegetarians so the food offerings at each venue provided creative and delicious options. Our hosts at The Kitchen Store were informative about both the food they served and several kitchen gadgets that allowed for easy preparation of what appeared to be complicated recipes. Sarah, our friendly and well-informed tour guide, did a great job of presenting historical, fun facts about the city of Wooster and its current lively downtown attractions. The stop at JAFBrewery showcased the owner's passion and knowledge of his craft. Even those who weren't beer lovers appreciated his tour. Our final stop was the 1st Amendment Public House where we all sat a big table and enjoyed great food and conversation. All in all, the food tour was a perfect way to spend some time getting to know and appreciate Wooster.

We did a twilight tour for our office staff appreciation. It was a fun and unique way to enjoy an evening together experiencing local restaurants and some interesting history of downtown Wooster. We started the tour at St. Paul Hotel - a historic building which has been lovingly restored and renovated to impress the most discerning guest. City Square Steakhouse, First Amendment Public House, Muddy Waters Café and the Wooster Brewery. Everyone enjoyed all of the delicious dishes that were specially prepared for us along with meeting each of the restaurant proprietors. Sarah our tour guide was wonderful. She had a way about her that made each one of us feel special. One of the ladies in our group needed gluten free dishes. Sarah made sure gluten free dishes were available at every restaurant - no problem. I would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to experience good food, good fun, and a little bit of history thrown in too!!

I am a Wooster native who has lived in several different big cities over the past 15 years. This summer, I moved back to Wooster and have been exploring all it has to offer. There aren't many places in town that I haven't tried for a meal or a glass of wine! On the tour, we visited four of my favorite downtown spots, and I had the opportunity to experience them in a way I never have before. Our guide, Sarah, gave rich background on each establishment and introduced us to the staff and owners. We instantly felt like insiders everywhere we went! I have a deeper appreciation for Wooster's history and local businesses now. And I can't wait to explore more of the city on another Food Tour!
