It's small, but the seats are very comfortable, the selection of chocolates is wonderful, and the popcorn is delicious. It serves a changing selection of wines and beers, including local Yellow Springs Brewery beers on tap. The best place to see art films and locals.
We stopped into Little Art Theatre when we were in Yellow Springs a few weeks ago. Was impressed that they seem to have recently renovated the seats. Very comfy! Wonderful snacks to purchase. We got malted milk balls, homemade!
The Little Art has many first run shows and some very interesting cinema, with various special showings and some matinees. They have wine and beer and great popcorn and a variety of snacks. The theater was completely remodeled in 2013 so the seats are comfy and the screen can be seen well from almost anywhere in the theater. If you plan to come often buy the 10 movie pass which makes it less expensive per visit. Visit the website for more details.
The Little Art is a vibrant, charming art theater that plays both mainstream and more artsy and independent films. Recently revamped with comfortable seats, a nice lobby, and high-tech projection facilities, it's a little slicker than the old theater, but still very nice. The snack bar serves wine and gourmet sweets.
What a wonderful venue in which to watch a movie. The food and drinks are great, the movies are those in which you can sink your teeth into, the seats are leather and comfortable, and the audience is discerning and knowledgeable. Shouldn't every little town have a motion theatre like the Little Art Theatre ?
The Little Art was just remodeled and restored, reopened in October, 2013. Great movies, comfy seats, good popcorn, plus draft beer, wine and specialty foods. Don't miss it if you are in the Springfield-Yellow Springs-Xenia area.
The Little Art Theatre is a gem of a small art theater, with delicious popcorn, homemade cookie bars, beer and wine. When it reopens in October, visitors will be able to enjoy comfortable new seats, nice new restrooms and an enlarged lobby. More stadium-like seating will allow people to have much better views of the screen. The Little Art is known for getting top rated foreign films, independent and sleeper films and documentaries. Plus they often host really popular movies. If you love films, you'll love the Little Art Theatre. If live close by and like to go often, you can purchase a ten movie ticket card and save money.
A small town "art theater" at its best. The LAT shows a unique mix of foreign, indie, and first run films in a comfortable, intimate setting. Located in "downtown" Yellow Springs, the LAT can be an enjoyable part of a excursion to this lovely and lively southwest Ohio village.
A friend and I went to the movie. It was $8.50 per person to get in. We watched the movie and it was okay. I usually find theaters to loud for me but this one was fine. We went on Thursday evening and there just a few of us in there. The seats were not the best but they plan on trying to renovate the place so I would visit again just to see the difference.
Very large screen for a small theater. Still fresh popped corn plus Great Lakes brew and drinks that are not all ice.
I appreciate the movies the Little Art chooses to show. It takes the guess work out for me and I can just go each Friday and see a good movie. I also like being able to mix happy hour with a movie and grab a beer and popcorn to kick off my weekend. The staff does a nice job of serving fresh concessions.
Very small village with unique places to visit. Different types of movies, small place. Very different date night.
Saw "Moonrise Kingdom there last week with family. It's a cozy little theatre, mostly supported by donations. The town of Yellow Springs is a fun place to visit too.
It's a nice little theatre to see great films that you often can't see in the big multi screen type places. It's a bit pricy for the quality of the viewing experience but all in all it's a good place and I'm glad it is there even though I generally prefer to watch movies in my own home.
We spent an entire night at Little Art eating popcorn and pizza and watching the best and worst horror movies. A fun fun evening, affordable, staff is great!
