cherry country

We had fantastic samples of dried cherries and chocolate-covered cherries. Diego gave us an in-depth and interesting tour of their small facility. We watched Diego's mother and several young women wash and de-stem cherries to prepare them for the huge pitting machine. We saw how the cherries were dried and dipped in chocolate - both milk and dark. We bought chocolate there for our trip and then bought more as gifts for our friends at the airport before leaving Oregon.

This is a very small business. The boy who took us around, Diego, was very friendly. We had many fantastic samples of cherries and chocolate candy. The chocolate candy is made in this small facility by Diego's mother. We watched three women put the cherries in a huge machine that takes the pits out. There were samples of the chocolates, both milk and dark, dried cherries and jellies. Diego was very informative and gave a great tour of the facility. The chocolate covered cherries were wonderful. The tour and samples are free and worth the visit.
