If you like to hear sorry then management is all you will get. Do not expect them within 30minutes while you stand there, you actually have to drive and call then you will get only sorry. BTW eat at the lobster buffet so you'll puke it up and send it back to the sea

Not a great Casino, limited table and lots of slots, my biggest issue was the dealers talking about guest when they left the table. The buffet for lunch was very sad, very limited. They ran through a list of discounts at the buffert that was over 10 ways to get a discount left me wondering if I was the only one that paid full price. Never the less it was food. I recommend you keep driving

At the time of this review $10 gets your child access to unlimited rides (carousel, ferris wheel, frog hopper), unlimited mini-golf, unlimited bounce house access, and $2 worth of arcade credit. We can easily spend a couple hours here and walk out with a few prizes too! There is a Peet's coffee close by for a nice coffee and snack and there is a snack bar inside the fun center that we have only accessed for Icee, but looks to have lots of fun stuff too. There are plenty of tables to sit and watch wait or take a break. Tickets can be bought individually if you only have time for a quick ride and there is plenty of easy parking outside. We ski in North Lake and often stay in Reno, this is a great stop for any family moving through Verdi!

My Wife and I had a great time, But there was a couple frustrating things that we noticed. First the roulette table. we like roulette but we had to wait until Friday night to play, the second was the keno, I would like to see the game attendants that run Keno be a bit more knowledgeable about how each game is played. Other than that we had a great time. we will defiantly be back

Boomtown is the first casino we get to when we drive highway 80 from the San Francisco Bay Area. On the week-ends they have a nice lobster buffet. They also have fun events in the summer. Room prices are usually quite good here.In terms of the casino, its average for the area.

Played here for a few weeks, throwing the dice in craps pretty much the same way every session. No problems until I ran into a terrible pit boss. I was maybe up 200 on craps over 2 weeks but down over a 1,000 total in the casino. If you start to win at the tables the pit bosses will come give you heat, especially if you like to set dice in craps (not illegal btw). I am a local and will never return to this casino after the last run in with the pit boss, there are simply better casino's in town that will treat their guests with more care. The food was not bad if you are looking for a place to eat on your way to Reno.

Having lived in the area my whole life I wasn't sure how a concert would be at Boomtown since they aren't known for their concert venues. However one of my favorite artists was playing so I bought tickets and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The concert venue is basically four large conference rooms all opened up into one that seats about 400 people. The stage is set up higher than the seats which means there isn't a bad seat in the house. The sound quality is fantastic which was very surprising! I'm used to concerts where there are tens of thousands of people and the noise level is crazy. This concert venue allows for a nice small intimate experience with the artist. He had only one other band member with him and again the sound quality and of course his voice was unmatched. I would definitely see another concert here again in the future!

Stayed 2 nights, after night one hung card on door requesting room service when leaving at 10 am. Returned at 8 pm to find room as I left it. Called housekeeping to no avail. Called front desk and told them and they said they would send someone right away. Called back at 9 pm am they said they would contact housekeeping right away. I left to dinner without a shower and returned after 11 pm to find 2 towels.I have really enjoyed boomtown in the past and will try them again as they are a great value. I hope this eas a fluke.......Dirty and disappointed in Boomtown

Very smokey atmosphere, buffet is fair at best. Rooms are cheap and is close to Tahoe. Better food is found in Reno, or in Verdi. Gaming is ok but again very smokey.

Our carful of five stopped at the recommendation of our driver. We went to the sit-down restaurant; signed up for a table with a 20-minute waiting list, and then continued to look: the line for the buffet service line was about 20 people long and moving slowly. So we opted to buy sandwiches and beverages at the deli counter, which had no line and immediate service. The food was good and the prices were fare. In order for us to move out of the dark, smoky indoor atmosphere, we ate our meals in the outdoor area with wood benches on a sunny pleasant day. The western culture (bucking horse and coybow) statue were attractive, and the survey monument that related to the CA-NV state border was educational.

We LOVE keno, but we wonder why you do not give as many points towards keno as you do the machines.? It seems like our points slowly accumulate although we play almost nothing but keno. We love the tournaments and have not missed one in around 10 years. Boomtown is the ONLY casino we ever go to

What a deal the best play place I have been to in a casino for kids. $10.wrist bracelet gives unlimited mini golf, jumpie & charosol rides. Then there is alot of games to play. Some for points, some not, some I have never seen before. Like a 2 lane bowling alley, a monopoly game.2-3 air holley games. The room was full of things to do.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night with my family. The first room I booked wasa complete failure as the shower drain was a swamp. This was in the old tower so I went to the manager and told him that an unacceptable room for us. He had us upgraded to the new tower and a much nicer room. Thanks to the manager

We had two nites in a comp room this past weekend. Stayed in the North Wing (remodeled)/ King bed/ smoking. Room was nice, bathroom was big. Housekeeping staff was more than helpful w/ request for extra blanket & pillow. Rm had a coffeepot/coffee/tea as well as fridge. Liked that we can open the window for fresh air, then blast the heater to warm the room. There is a flat screen tv which was great, but they only have their channels in analog and we are used to HD, so... that would be our ONLY complaint. There was a free wireless internet connection for our IPad but you have to find out the code for your room thru the MENU screen on your tv. BTW, we were able to peek into the Jacuzzi Suite (rooms that end in 19), which also has a separate bedroom, separate living rm , lil table/bar area and a door that goes out to a balcony. Will try to book that in the future. As for the casino: again staff was very helpful & nice - when I asked which restaurants were still open at 7pm (limited); when I had issues w/ my Players Club card in the slot machines; why they only showed the FB games in the SportsBar and the "Guitar" Nightclub and not the other tvs in the casino etc. Just those little things...Restaurant employees were very nice and helpful. I rcvd an extra almond croissant because it was my birthday. They were more than helpful when we decided to order our food " to go" instead of eat IN the Bistro, or tables in the eating area outside the deli/Mexican food place. We just walked over w/ our food to the SportsBar and sat at the counter that surrounds the SportsBar so we could watch all the FB games simultaneously. (THOSE tvs were definitely HDTV!!! )The casino was NOT packed w/ patrons like the other casinos downtown so it was very easy to sit down and play any machine you wanted.(was there Sun - Tues.) The machines did seem "looser" since both my husband and I did win back our money. I believe they remodeled the casino since we were there over a year ago because it seems like there were less machines, and more floor space so you aren't just packed into one area.Online checkout via the room tv was a breeze. How very surprised to find out we had a balance of $000000.00; I know the rooms were comp, but other hotels charge a resort fee and city tax etc, and this one did not.We will definitely be back.

Boomtown is a smaller casino on the outskirts of Reno. Thus it must compete against the 'big houses' downtown. The attraction of Boomtown is the friendly staff and employees. Everybody seems to go out of their way to assist or make your experience more fun. Their machines seem to be looser than downtown as well. With a choice of so many casino's in town, Boomtown is my choice because I enjoy myself more there.
