Dump , cheetoes , don't waste your money. There promotions are a scam and the whole town is a scam. I had my room reserved for my free room with a 50 dollar depositor they charged me for deposit room and gave my room away. Rip off everything about the place I was a frequent player but now have caught on to the scams poor service etc...
I have flown this charter out of 5 different cities in Texas probably 30 or more times. Always very professional, friendly and prompt. A small charter service like Alligient, does not have the same stall as American Airlines. I applaud them for considering safety first. I suppose that "Beware" would rather them to have to have just taken a chance that all was ok. "Beware" s review was very selfish and inconsiderate of others. Check out Alligients safety record. It's probably better than most major airlines. Go ahead and book yourself a trip and have a little fun.
My husband and i have flown Allegiant air to Wendover from amarillo texas many times, and I would reccomend the trip to anyone! Very good service from the flight to the hotel to all staff members at the casinos. Its a nice get away, with clean rooms, very nice. All staff members are very helpful.I marked yes there is a fee the first time, but after that I have always gone free and take a friend for free. That includes airfare and a three nite hotel stay!
So, my mom and I went out to wendover for a little "get away". Overall I think it was great..! Here's a little list I compiled...Pro's:- Free alcoholic beverages- There are 5 different casinos in the wendover area, they have a shuttle that will take you to all of them, the shuttles run every 15 minutes.- Nice, big, clean rooms (we stayed at Montego Bay Hotel and Casino)- Free WiFi-Friendly staff, waitresses were taking orders all the time (always a plus!)- Different restaurants, all different kinds. Whether you prefer fancy or just a cafe type.- Almost all resorts have a 24 hour restaurant.- CHEAP FOOD! About $20 for two people.- Low key, not so loud and wild as Vegas.CON'S:-Seems like a lot of the same slot machines are at all the casinos. It was the same " type" just in different places. No new machines, or "name brand" (ex: wheel of fortune, movie theme)Other than that, it was great. If you go on a charter flight like I did, it's so easy to book and very very cheap. You can go to www.wendoverfun.com, click on "flights" and find your city.
We always have such a wonderful time and experience while we are there. The entire staff which include the promotions employees which include Becky, Chad, Rich and Raquel, waitresses which include, Selsa, Ania, Robert, Lisa and many others, as well as the gift shop employees are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is a great experience. They care about their Casino and hotel. The rooms are very nice and the food is always good. We love it there. We recommend this Casino very highly. We also enjoy the whole gaming experience there. The are affiliated with the Peppermill and Rainbow resorts, which are also very fun. You won't regret staying at any of these fine resorts. Go meet the promotions team and say hi and tell them Tonya and Mike said hi also!
Loved the atmosphere in all 3 casinos, food was excellent, staff all very accommodating. The free shuttle was an extra plus and available at all times. Weather was excellent for this time of year so we were able to enjoy walking, too.
We spent Thanksgiving in Wendover, the machines at Montego Bay has deteriorated! the poker machine at the bar periodically works, the redemption machine does not work, had to go to customer service 3 times before someone came to look at it. Luckily there were two of us so one could stand by the machine while the other reported the problem! what if you were there by yourself - how could you alert the staff? If the resorts want to maintain their Vegas 'wannabe' status, they'd better buck up cos they are going southbound very quickly!!
Spouse and I traveled with a group of friends for a stay at Montego Bay casino in Wendover. We have stayed at MB several times and would recommend it to others. These hotel/flight packages fly out of our local airport and include hotel and roundtrip air for 3 nights. The flights are always on-time and you can check one bag at no extra cost. A shuttle bus takes you right to one of 3 casinos. Rooms at MB are clean and spacious with all of the standard amenities such as coffee maker and hair dryer (no fridge/micro). The beds are comfortable and maid service is timely. There is a market at one end of town to buy food/snax/alcohol/meds/etc and the 24-hour free shuttle will take you directly if you ask the hotel desk. Shuttle drivers are reliable and safe. Each of the 3 hotel/casinos has a fine dining experience that can still be considered casual, and also a buffet as well as cafe/coffee shop. If staying during the week, be sure to check restaurant hours as the steakhouse, mexican and italian are closed some weeknights. Discount coupons for 2-for-1 dinners, free drinks, slot & table play, and more provided with this package. MB has a great outdoor pool, spa, and exercise facility. Friend said she had one of the best massages ever at MB. Husband and friend played 18 holes of golf at public course and gave it two thumbs up. Hotel shuttle will take you right to the course and back and hotel offers discount packages. There are plenty of slot machines at each casino and ample table games. Cigarette smoke is typical so be prepared. Cocktail waitresses are scarce but work hard and stay busy. No one in our group won much but none of us were big players either. All in all, this travel package can't be beat and we'll definitely be back.
This was our 54th trip to Wendover and we're still having a super time. We go for the getaway and the gambling. We have always stayed at Montego Bay, so can't comment on the other hotels. Good food, never have to wait for a drink and super fine people. Now that the airport runway is extended there should be far less fuel stops on the way home. wendoverfun.com Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. Daryl
I liked the Rainbow casino; it had a much better feel than the Peppermill. The pool was open at Montego Bay and we definitely enjoyed it. I really liked the comfortable chairs they had out there; and the pool was huge. Only downside was the kids that were in the pool were all over and you really couldn't swim if you wanted to because you would run into them. all in all, we really enjoyed the town, most of the folks were pretty friendly (server wise), some more than others. Service is pretty slow though in all places, even with tipping, but they are also lacking in employees it seems. I had a good time though because for my whole trip I only spent $100 which included all food, drinks, tips, souvenir, etc. The one issue we did have was on the way over, we were delayed because apparently they scheduled a power outage at the airport in Wendover; and on the way back, while they make us check out of our rooms, then they inform us that the plane is going to be an hour and a half late, so you're pretty much stuck in the casino. I personally think this was a ploy to get people to spend more money.
I liked all of the Casinos there. Great table games. The only disappointment was that the outdoor pool at Montego Bay was empty. They were repainting it for the summer season. Also I really liked the 6 deck backjack table and played on it Sunday night. When I went to play it on Monday, it was closed. The pit boss said it was only open on week-ends. I was so sad. I checked the other casinos and the game was not available anywhere. One other complaint that I had was that there were not many table games available during the week days. On the upside, the drinks were free and the food was good. I would recommend the $2.99 breakfast at the Peppermill. Good food for a great price. Overall it was a fun experience and the shuttle service made it very easy to get from place to place.
Forget about thinking of winning here. Machines are tight in all 3 properties. Robs you right of the bat, no time for fun or to enjoy the games. Most of the time, bonus winnings are less than your bet. Sometimes, it gives you some, but takes the money out of you instantly. If you plan on having fun, go to Vegas or Mesquite. I am telling you this from experience and tons of friends who experienced the same. They may offer very cheap fares or flights but the consequences of losing big time is very much 100%. Never came back from Wendover with some money left, now am thinking never to come back anymore, same thinking as my friends and family. NO FUN at all!!!!!
Good restaurants fun gaming and a good nights sleep. The desserts at the Golden Harvest Café are amazing you just have to try one be sure to bring someone to share.
We travel 6 hours one way four times a year to Wendover for great fun!! We like to stay at the Nugget. They have a nice staff, great rooms, and the best live Keno in the state. Their Players Club has great room, dining, and play promotions. It's Wendover's Best Deal.
A note to "Beware": The unforeseeable can happen. If you want to pay more for a higher level of service and security, use another company. Wendover unquestionably is the best bargain for a short getaway. I was dubious at first, but it's a most enjoyable overall experience. Now I'm arranging to go back.Francis C.
