The new outlet mall replaces a poorly designed one from the 1980s. This one is fresh and clean and loaded with great brand name stores. I splurged on a watch which I would have never considered, but when an $800 watch is 80% off, I go for it. My time was limited by my companions, but I'm planning a return trip. My biggest problem with the mall was that it was open air and the weather was atrocious. I'll find a better weather day and take my time.
Name the brand they have a wonderful assortments of stores for you to shop at with a variety of food places for you to snack on in between shopping.
I have been to the Nex Outlets many times, both in summer and winter, with friends, family and even my "I hate shopping" husband and son. I've always had a good time. The Coach Factory store has some good deals, but not as good as the store in Lake Ozark. You just need to really look and decide what it is worth to you. Kate Spade also has some good deals. The stores that have consistently good deals are: Ann Taylor, The Loft, Haggar, Eddie Bauer, American Eagle, Wilsons Leather, Kitchen Connection, Gold Toe, and Old Navy. Stores that sometimes have really good deals: Under Armour, Nike, Adidas, Tommy Bahama, Columbia, White House/Black Market, Dress Barn, Banana Republic, Hanes, Rack Room Shoes. Vera Bradley is new and did have some good deals, it remains to be seen how consistent they will be. The stores I never bother with anymore because they didn't really seem to offer much in the way of a deal: Polo/Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, and Michael Kors. The stores I haven't mentioned, I haven't been in or haven't been in often enough to rate them. If you need a snack, I'd recommend hitting the new GO! Convenience Store. They have some pretty good prices and a nice selection of food and drink to snack on. I have heard the mall will be expanding at some point, as it is very successful. I'm hoping any expansion will include Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. In the mean time, I will keep returning, purchasing and supporting the economy :)
I loved this outlet mall about 20 years ago. Was so sad to see it dwindle away to nothing. They way it has been redone is first class. I love the brands they have and the design is very nicely done. Great stop close to Omaha!
I've shopped at the outlet mall prior to taking a trip in July and found wonderful stores like Chico's outlet, Ralph Lauren, Coach (although their prices are higher than other Coach outlets I've visited) and many more. I bought primarily clothes but enjoyed the outdoor experience during the summertime. Not so sure how I'll feel about it in the winter, but the design/layout is great with all of the parkiing on the outside and all of the stores, while entered from the sidewalk, all close together (to be shielded from wind, blowing snow, etc.). I didn't like the Borsheim outlet as most of the inventory seemed cheap to me with expensive price tags. Sterling silver selling for the price of gold jewelry that I buy in other areas. I didn't eat while I was there---too busy shopping......I can eat anywhere :o) A good place, quality merchandise at good prices (for the most part). I used to drive passed Des Moines to go to a good outlet mall, but now, happily, I don't have to. Nice service by happy people in most stores. On the first visit spent all of my time in the mens' stores and buying clothes for my husband--he loved them all, too. A fun way to spend the afternoon just visiting to see what's available before the holidays kick in. Happy shopping!
This is a very attractive outlet mall. They offer a wide variety of stores that are appealing to everyone. We were able to take a relaxing walk through, and do some impromptu shopping. They didn't really have a wide variety of options for eating, but the few that they had were acceptable for a family with teenagers and young ones.
They carry good brands on the higher end. You can stroll around the whole place and not buy anything because you get so confused with what to get.
Stopped here for a quick lunch before heading back to Missouri. It was a Monday around lunch time, so not too busy. The good court has 4 choices grouped into one area. Famous Dave's, big burrito, big cheese and burger star. We opted for burger star. The cashier was very disinterested in taking our order and seemed to be half asleep. He acted like we were bothering him. We ordered burgers, fries and drinks. Burgers were pretty tasty and good size. Fries were yummy. Ordered 1 milkshake and 3 cookies for the road. 20 min later, they bring me 3 milkshakes. *sigh* whatever, we just need to get on the road. Decent food. Customer service is lacking. Also, ketchup dispenser was empty. (Only been open for 2 hours), and lids for cups were empty.
Great outdoor factory outlet. Great stores, and everyone so helpful and friendly! Stores that you actually know and want to shop in! If you want to eat there, not too many choices.
I have been here three times for a girls weekend. We are never disappointed with what we find here. Recent eating choice in the form of a food court have opened. It was very busy but the Subway next door was just fine. Love having the variety and more stores keep coming in.
We stopped at this outdoor outlet mall while in the Omaha area. We definitely found stores to spend money in. Ha! There were many "higher end" stores, I don't spend money on things like that. It was nice--not very many eateries though-so we ended up eating elsewhere.
My family and I visited Burger Star/Big Cheese for lunch during our trip to the Nebraska Crossing Outlets. This was my third time at the outlets (we live roughly 2 hours away) and our third consecutive time eating at this establishment. The first two times we ate here we were greatly satisfied and raved about the food and management. Expecting no less this trip, we went up to the Big Cheese ordering counter (we only order from here, haven't tried the burgers) and when my wife ordered she was informed that the item she requested was no longer being served. They downsized the menu, but didn't take the old menu down. She ordered something else and we sat down waiting for our food. Our food was brought to us and right away we noticed that we weren't being served the home made chips they had served us the last two times we had eaten there. My daughter quickly piped up and asked why we were being served a bag of Ruffles instead of the great chips we had last time. Come to find out that they are no longer making those chips--very disappointing, those chips alone were reason enough to go there. We continued with our meal and when my daughter and wife got to their "home made" cookies, they both recognized that they didn't taste the same as the last times we had been there. My daughter said they tasted like Subway cookies. Not that Subway cookies are bad, but they were expecting the home made cookies they received last time. After a disappointing lunch, my daughter went up to the counter to ask for a comment card, she received one from the manager on duty. While she was doing this I asked one of the employees if the manager was available. The employee went to tell the manager we were wanting to talk to him and the manager looked at us sitting at our table and ignored us. Extremely poor customer service. The first time we ate here we talked to the owner and told him how wonderful everything was and now we are having a manager ignore us. My daughter finished completing the comment card which included the things I have discussed here and gave it to the manager as we were leaving. Hopefully he left it for the owner to find, or other management and didn't throw it away. Needless to say, we will be thinking twice before going back to Burger Star/Big Cheese to eat.
this place had interactive TV's to show you the stores. decent but not great selection. good, but not great deals. not many food choices. had a dj playing music which was cool and an interactive game area to entertain kids which was something id not seen at malls like that. kind of out of Omaha a bit, but easy to find.
We had seen this mall on our trip out to Kansas, and planned our trip back with a stop in Lincoln, and then the mall. I enjoyed my visit very much. This outlet mall had WHBM, Forever 21, Dress Barn and Maurice's, none of which I had seen at an outlet before. Because of time constraints, I only made it to three stores, but ended up with two very large bags. No big sales, but good selection.
Nebraska Crossing Outlets has a great selection of stores to choose from. What kept me from giving it an excellent rating is the need for additional sit-down restaurants.
