I happened on this new little shop while strolling through the rather humdrum Hilltop Mall. What a refreshing surprise.At the entrance to the shop, one might think it is only a candy shop. And it IS a candy shop, but also has a nice surprise in store for the shopper looking for something a bit different in Kearney.There is a large selection of mix and match chocolates, old time candy, and a whole lot of other sweets. It is self service, fill the cellophane bags with which variety and quantity you desire.Ah, but now the surprise. There is a nice selection of loose leaf teas that are for purchase by the ounce. What a great way to sample quality teas! I tried several and was quite pleased with the quality and variety. There was also a selection of charming little tea making/drinking supplies. Typically I find this type of merchandise in major cities or, of course, in Asia - so it was such a pleasant surprise to happen upon this in Kearney.There were a variety of tasty Asian snacks - also hard to come by outside of major metropolitan areas. And finally there was a nice selection of coffee beans - which could be purchased and ground in-store (if desired). I was pleased to find a favorite - Peaberry - amongst the choices.The clerk was very helpful. I would recommend this store for pruchasing goodies for yourself, or a nice gift for a friend.
