I admit that I'm not a real fan of outlet malls. For the most part I have never seen any really great deals to get excited about. This mall is located across from the casino and frankly has been going down hill for the last few years. It has all the usual suspects, eddie bauer, ralph lauren, gap, levi outlet, nike etc. It does have a little 12 lane bowling lane that seems pretty busy. The general layout is nice, open and airy, but can get really hot in the summer. There's a small food court with a unusual fountain. If you find yourself in the alpine area it would be worth a visit, but I wouldn't drive all the way from san diego just to take a look. Maybe visit the casino and when you win big you'll have a place to spend some of the money!

A great deal of attention goes into creating and maintaining this unique and pleasant environment that is much more than just another shopping mall. Plus, we have Movies in the Park during the summer, Southern California’s largest ice skating rink in the winter, and Viejas Bowl and the Fun Zone all year long––all ideal attractions the whole family can enjoy! And, of course, there are several great places for relaxing and dining, such as Rubio’s, Adriano’s Pizza, KFC, and more. Thanks again, Jason, for your post, and we hope to see you come back soon to enjoy all that Viejas has to offer! And as always, please let us know how we can be of further service.Sincerely,Your Viejas Team

Nice casino. Lots of things to do! Had a great time. The staff is friendly and the slots were good. It's fun spending time at the casino during our stay.

This center has a peaceful atmosphere and it is well landscaped in many native plants. There is music or nature sounds piped in and running water. It is nice for a casual day of shopping and hanging out. The selection of merchandise is ok, but sometimes priced higher than regular retail depending on what you want to buy. I recommend looking at sale ads before coming. The food in the center is ok, but the casino is right across the street and the food at the buffet is great and that is where we always go. Parking is free and no matter where you park it is not too much of a walk to get into the center.

I love this shopping area, it is quiet, peaceful and beautiful all at the same time. Lots of Indian imprint around and great shops with very nice people. Eating areas where you can sit and relax. I could just go to hear the music they play throughout the whole center. The east end they play Bingo and they have a bowling alley. The west end they have a Spa store across the street is the casino. Good for everyone in the family.

Outlet mall has deterioted over the years. Lots of vacant retail shops since the last trip to San Diego.

We wanted to be able to walk around after our huge dinner at the Casino buffet and this was perfect. It was early evening and there was a shuttle that drove us from the hotel door right up to the store front, so if it is really hot, that is a very good option to have. There is an interesting mix of stores--from OshKosh B'Gosh to Coach--so there is something for everyone. Stores like Dress Barn and Charlotte Russe are also there in case the other stores are too high end for you, and those stores seemed like their normal budget pricing to me.

Business has its ups and downs, but that actually helps the Outlet Center by allowing companies to expand their contacts and their sales. This is an attractive shopping area, fully accessible, well represented by well known corporations. There is a food court with good variety as well.there is also a booklet of even better values available in the Center Office. When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping at Viejas Outlet Center.

I live 5 miles away and although I am not a 'shopper' but I love going shopping here. The only negative is that some shops come and go, but many I like have been there all along. There are several dining choices, I like the Italian or Mexican and to enjoy the fresh mountain air and people watch. We have attended concerts, gone ice skating, and just recently completed my Christmas shopping at the designer shops. Truly enjoyable, uncrowded, easy free parking, and you can get a discount coupon book at the California Visitor Center right there. I am not nor have ever been an employee, just a person who abhors 'malls'-shops, parking, crowds, noise, you name it. I also enjoy the evening shows at the big tepee! I've shopped here since it opened!

Viejas is ok. The landscaping is nice, but there aren't many stores. It's family friendly; I saw lots of strollers and kids running around and eating popcorn. I doubt I'll be back any time soon since the other outlets around the area have more stores and merchandise. But each of the stores I visited were pretty organized, so that's a plus.

I'm not big on retail shopping but this outlet center makes it pleasurable just to walk around in it. Lots of water features and beautiful landscaping with benches to rest and enjoy the view. There is a Nike Clearance Store here, too, and I think the gal said there are only 18 of these in the U.S. Got a GREAT deal on some shoes there. Us gals spent several hours shopping while our husbands gambled at the Viejas Casino directly across the street and we ALL had a GREAT time!!! I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Let me start off by saying the wife and I are not spring chickens. That being said, we recognize that the outlet stores are aimed at a young, more family oriented bunch. We were disappointed with the selections, especially at stores like the Nike store, where I could not find a shoe that I would wear in public. I can't blame them for targeting their audiences that buy from them. I would like to see some stores that are more for the mature buyer. We spend a lot of time (and money) in the kitchen goodies store because it is one of the few stores that carry items we can use.We gave up on shopping for clothing there. We tried to find flannel shirts for the father in law, but the ones available were around fifty bucks. We ended up ordering them on line for a lot less. One thing I will give kudos for: LOTS of places to sit and rest. Benches are outside many of the stores which is a real blessing to those old guys who do not wish to accompany their wives while searching for bras. There is a nice food court with indoor and outdoor seating. The Viejas Casino/Outlets always has some kind of themed event going on. My assessment is if you are a young couple or family you will really enjoy the shopping. If you are more (Pick one: mature, ripe, ancient, OLD) be happy you are still kicking and enjoy watching the younger kids shop.

The Viejas Outlet is a great addition to the casino and resort. The outlet is fun for the whole family. KIds will love to play in the water area. They also have a really cool water show in the evening. They have a few fast food restraunts and now a bowling alley. I like the shops there. They seem to always have some great deals. I have noticed in the past that sometimes some of the stores in numerous outlets dont have really good sales. I beleive a outlet should have the best prices. Not always true. This one had some good sales in the stores we went into. I was a happy girl. Its really nice to walk around. One other plus that I thought was so fun for the family was that they have a area where they play a movie in the evening! Free!!! People were on the grass and chairs with blankets watching a movie. ( I happened to go on the weekend. Not sure if they do this every night. )Overall this is a nice outlet and if you are a viejas and win a jackpot why not go shopping. :)

Guidebooks talk about how AZ tourists to the coast tend to come under-dressed for the weather (can be up to 15 degrees cooler), this drop in temperature tends to happen as you ascend the heights on the I-8. Consequently when we got to the Viejas Outlets from Yuma & Tucson in April, we were freezing. Freezing to the extent that the shopping had to be curtailed somewhat, which was a shame as the bargains here seemed better than at the nearer outlets to LA like Outlets @ Orange and the Citadel. The outlets are good stop on a weekday when it isn’t busy – deserted in fact when we went – but not particularly well sign posted from the I-8 so follow signs for the Viejas Reservation exit. If you have young children, they have those interactive water fountains here too when the weather is warm which makes the stop acceptable to them too. Check their website for opening dates of these fountains.

By nature I'm not a shopper, I hate spending time in retail stores. While staying at Viejas, I couldn't resist looking at the outlets,Started at Gap, and bought a ton of the cutest best clothing for a 14 month old little girl. I'm telling you I killed it, some at 70% off.I almost can't wait to leave and get them to her, that cool. Lots of stores, tens of thousands of items to choose from just amazing, and no crowds.....
