Free admission on the first Friday of every month. I would recommend this museum for small children. I've brought my kids here when they were younger and they always enjoyed it. Lots of pretend play and hands-on areas. You could keep a kid busy here for about 2 hours. It's worth checking out if you have a young child.
We took our two year old grand daughter here, the cost is low. They have about eight different areas for kids to explore, a dress-up area, a retired police motorcycle to sit on, a fireman's suit hanging from the ceiling, a kid sized kitchen, local vegetable display, local newspaper display, where the water goes, ect. All areas are interactive and kids up to 6 years old would enjoy, a good place for kids to explore things.
Have taken my granddaughter here a lot over the years. She loved the stage where you can dress up and entertain. Lots do do with the exhibits changing over the years. Bank, TV station, play house, jail, fireman's pole. It's very cozy and good for young children. Children get in free with a small donation (fee) charged for adults. They host birthday parties in a party room for about $200 which include crafts and admission This placed gets a lot of use and only wish they had a bigger budget to replace things when they get worn or used up. It would be a great idea if patrons would donate dress up costumes to the Theater area or other items (like play food or dishes) that could be used in the play house. Even better make a CASH donation!
My daughter loves this place. She can dress up and just be a kid. It small so you can handle multiple kids there, but big enough to have fun. We love this place.
We've been here a few times, so not sure why it's taken me this long to write a review. My son started going here when he was 2 and now he's 6 and still loves it. It's like a little pretend city with a bank, a news station, a theater section where kids can dress up, and a little play house. They have a pretend jail and fireman's pole too. It's a great place for the kids to get out their energy in a safe environment.I've even had his birthday party here. They have a party room that I rented for the entire Saturday for only $200 and that includes admission for everyone into the museum and 25 crafts that you can pass out to the kids. The employees are very attentive and are willing to help in any way. Only downside is no warmers of any kind. But they provide the tables and the chairs. I think it's a great location for a birthday party. My son's birthday is in the middle of summer and it's so hot. It's a great way to stay cool.
Very small museum in the heart of old Chino. Cute area.
