laemmle's claremont 5

I visit the theater at least twice a month. It is located in downtown Claremont and surrounded by eclectic restaurants and shops. On Friday nights there is usually music playing in the plaza area where the theater is located.

Don't look for a huge cineplex or you will be dissapointed. Nice quaint neighborhood theatre that's comfy and have good deals on matinee showings. Very convenient to the rest of Clarmont Village eateries as well.

This is our favorite place to watch non blockbuster movies in and around Claremont, especially on a Saturday or Sunday. If you are into interesting, non big budget movies like the Particle Fever and The Galapogos Affair--this is the place. The 5 theaters are decent size and clean and comfortable, but this place avoids the masses of AMC, Regal, Edward's etc. It's surrounded by several nice restaurants, so whether is pre or post movie, you have a choice of French, Mexican, Yogurt, Pies, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, to name a few. Parking is easy in the garage off West 1st Street--walk less than 2 min to the theaters.

We go to Laemmles often. They have a senior Wednesday ticket for $4.50 before 6 pm. Such a deal! good foreign films and unusual films as well as the standard popular films. Jane H. Claremont

If you don't want to go to the large movie theaters then this is the place to go. New movies and some quirky ones too. Really nice place to see a movie

I like the small size of the theater and the restaurants in the immediate area. Nice quiet and really geared to the anyone wanting to relax and have a nice time.

Cozy little theater with limited 1st run movie selections... There are 5 screens. Nice place to view a movie.

The theater is small but always has good movies showing. The snack bar well not break you ..the seating is very comfortable .

During Wednesday the offer reduced rates. The selection of movies is good, but sometimes they are the same you can see anywhere for the same price. What the theater is best at is offering some foreign and indie films. This is perfect for this town. The place is clean and there is plenty of parking. The setting is excellent and the staff is very good. Probably one of the best small theaters for older folks.

This is a delightful little theater in an equally delightful little town. The theater shows many films that are unavailable in most other theaters. It is surrounded by cute shops and coffee houses. and there is a vegetarian restaurant nearby.The matinee is only $8, any movie before 6pm. And I have heard the theater has real butter for their popcorn! This place is a gem.

This place is clean and a lot less expensive than the other theaters plus you can have a drink next door before you go to see a movie.

This is a great theatre for Indie films. The seats are comfy and the popcorn is good too! It is also in the middle of the Claremont shopping district.

When this opened, it was such a great moment for me. No more driving way up the road to see a movie. It is small, but I guess it was designed to have the college kids come. It shows first run movies and has great popcorn and comfy seats. I guess you could call it a boutique theater. It runs about 5 movies and has a great air conditioner. I like to go to eat at Le Pain Quotidien then run into the theater when I have a free afternoon. I wish I lived in Claremont-honestly- it is so convenient. I believe in supporting local places and I believe this is locally owned.

Claremont's new theater is in the new part of downtown. It is surrounded by shops, a hotel and places to eat. Park in the parking structure to the South if you cannot find on the street parking. Theater is nice and clean. Good place for a movie!
