This place is amazing and the history behind it even more so. I don't drink wine, but thoroughly enjoyed my visit there. If you do like wine, this place is a must see.

Went here on an excursion from a conference in Sacramento. We got a tour and tasting at the Clarksburg Wine Company (about 45 min), followed by about 45 minutes of time to check out the other wineries in the Old Sugar Mill. The Old Sugar Mill itself is kind of like a "mall" for local wineries and vintners. There were about a dozen on site. We definitely didn't have enough time to try wine from them all. Beautiful place. The tour took us around to the various buildings on the property, and they told us about the history of the buildings and the area in general. Showed us the winery itself where they make their wine. Tasted 6 wines with Clarksburg Wine Co, and then tried 3 from Three Wines. Bought wines from both. Not a lot there if you are not into wines, definitely not a good idea for families or kids (they would be bored). The venues that they have for events look gorgeous. Kind of makes me want to host a party there, just because it is that quaint. A nice place to go if you have a limited budget (tastings are $5 or so at each winery) and an hour or two. I would go back with friends, if I had the time. I'd really like to try more wines from some of the other vintners.

What a pleasant surprise to have found this place. It turned out to be better than our Napa Valley experience. The wine pour is so much better, the price also so much better, the friendly staff (very few left in Napa) and happy groups of people (a raw find in Napa these days). What made it especially nice was there is food available right next to the wine-tasting. This big Old Sugar Mill houses several wineries but we only tried a few: Clarksburg Wine Company, Heringer Estates (our favorite) and Carvalho Family Winery. It was a beautiful fall day and the drive from Sacramento was short and pretty next to the levee along the Sacramento River. It was a great afternoon!

Our friends took us on an outing here. It is really very nice how this former sugar mill has been renovated for today's use. We had a delicious tasting from at the "Three Wine Company". We would go again for a tasting at this winery. Don't think there were really any food vendors in the Sugar Mill, but we got tacos from "North Border Taco" truck. The tacos were okay.

Lovely, and all the people working there were very friendly.Kind of deserted feeling on a Friday.Heringer was our favorite winery.

Former sugar mill that has been converted to a winery down below and on the main floor tasting room for many of the local wineries. Beautiful setting up stairs and if the time is right you might get the chance to see the process down below from the Clarksburg staff.

We stopped on a Monday and found about 2/3 of the tasting rooms open - enough for us! We appreciated the laid-back feel of the tasting rooms. Most charge $5 for six samplings and refund toward a purchase. However, check-in with Yelp or Facebook or other options and the tastings are free. We can do that!We can see this place becoming a great venue for parties and weddings – they are still renovating some of the old warehouses and getting the grounds gorgeous.Perfect place to shop for fun “wine” accessories, T’s, oils, olives, stuffed olives, etc. Make sure you visit Clarksburg Winery. They not only had the best shopping, they had very good wines at very reasonable prices.

You step into the old sugar mill building and are spoiled for choice - it's wine tasting bought to you in one venue. You can meander away a few hours or the day wine tasting, looking around the old buildings, sitting out under the shade of an umbrella and eventually you'll go home with some of Clarksburgs' best wines. It's also a perfect venue for weddings and celebrations of any kind. Will definately visit again as I didn't get around all the tasting rooms!

We had been visiting nearby Bogle Vineyards and made a short stop at the Old Sugar Mill. It is a beautiful, old restored structure turned into a multi-room wine tasting and shopping area. Many of the tasting rooms were only open on weekends (we were there on a Thursday), and we were headed into Sacramento for an early dinner, so we did not "partake" of any wine. It, however, is still a very nice and interesting facility.

I love that there are several wineries under one roof. Everybody is super nice and they have some great special events here. It is a really nice place with some good snacks. The wine is delicious. Fun experience!

Date night, couples day trip, girls day out. Great wine and vendors. Pack a lunch and enjoy the day inside or outside. Stroll in the country and take in the fresh air.

Putting several "wineries" under one roof is a great idea. Here, many of the sellers are not traditional wineries, but simply retailers banded together for a cool idea and nice afternoon out. It's a fun place for a little while but the true winery experience is non-existent. For fee based wine sampling it is fine and fun.

Old Sugar Mill is unique and awesome offering various tasting rooms all in one location. We had a great time tasting wines and chatting with other tasters and employees in the tasting rooms. The property and building are absolutely beautiful and you can get some delicious snacks (from Clarksburg wine) and enjoy the nice surrounding and weather. We also walked across the street to see the beautiful vines. Overall, a great experience. Tasting fees are waived if you buy bottles.

The last time I was at the sugar mill was back in the 60's picking up a friend after his shift. LOL Now it is a first class event center. Wonderful food and wine. We had a great Mother's Day with live music and a great family vibe!

Great fun at the Sugar Mill. Lots of different wineries for different tastes in wine. We love Todd Taylor wines, expensive but the best in the Sugar Mill. Wonderful old building with good parking. Drive through the town of Clarksburg, sort of a cross between Peyton Place and Stepford's Wives, really not much of a town but pristine.
