We purchased a Groupon for this and after a couple falls, got decently good at it! The place is warm, clean and serves snacks if you need one between surfing. Alot of fun, I would have killed to have a birthday party somewhere like this as a kid!

My friends and I went to surf xtreme to do the paint ball deal on grpupon. We were coming from stockton so we planned ahead and called to make a reservation. When getting there we got there 10 minutes ahead of the reservation time and checked in at the main desk inside by the surfing attraction. While helping us another large group behind us started their checking in process. After so, the person that helped us instructed us to go outside and to the corner of the property where the paint ball complex was located. When getting there a group of people were using the complex and there was no staff to be found. After siting for a moment we notice a man that looked like he might be a staff. We talked to him and explained that we paid, had a reservation at a certain time, and we were ready to play. He then stated that we will have to wait because there was a group that was coming in and they had already been briefed. We had no problem waiting a moment but after sitting there for a HOUR AND A HALF and not getting approached about getting a the briefing at least, we decided to go inside to talk to someone. We talked to the person that was at the desk at the time and she explained that all she can do is give us a voucher for us to come another day. When she went to get the manager, she came back without the manager and said that we can wait or get voucher to come another day. A refund was not possible because we had used a groupon. We tried to make a case about the appointment we had made and how they took another group before us. All she did was state our options and apologized. She gave us the vouchers but I don't think we all will be back to this establishment. The lack of communication, organization, and supervision between the staff inside and by the paintball complex is one that I was not happy with. I would not recommend this place to anyone even with a groupon deal or if you travel from out of town.

Owner should refrain her daughter to surf to give time for paying, inexperienced surfers. There was a long line- should limit at least 10 surfers per hour, to give at most 5 turns each.

Inside a building next to a gym. Set up for teens and little kids. Trampolines and video games are also provided. Fun and a good value. Recommend for families and kids with the summer off.

We purchased a Groupon for 1 hour of surf and unlimited jump time for the day. The surf experience was good. My kids enjoyed it but only got 5 turns a piece to surf because the area was overbooked & crowded. The jump area was a joke. It was small to begin with and then they had a third of the jump area roped off because it was in need of repair. They kicked you out every 1/2 hour or so because it was reserved for parties which is ok if it's mentioned to you at the time of purchase. I would have given the busness itself a lower score but the kids did enjoy the surfing aspect and it's the only place you can do that in the area.

The good news is I've been there several times. The bad news is that I haven't actually surfed it yet (it's inside the same complex of my gym, California Family Fitness). It's a great place to chill and have a beer/coke as you watch your spawn enjoy themselves. This IS THE PLACE where you take your 'Been there, done that; Can we go home now?' 12 year old who is terminally bored and to whom you want to FORCE FEED 'a good time'.My suggestion? Walk into the building with your little rugrat in tow and say something UTTLERLY AMAZING to him/her like "SHAKA, Bra!!! Dig them totally tubular waves, ya know? Bet I could Flip-Ziggy a Knarly Copolini on that wave, Bra?!!! How bout you try hanging ten? Ooooh, Surfer Girl, Wooo-Ooooh, surfer girl..."

We visited this place during our summer vacation and my 12 & 14 year old klds (boy / girl) loved this place and wanted to return even 2 days later. The staff were friendly and helpful to my kids who had never done this activity before.
