arta whitewater rafting day trips

...the Tuolumne River is a treasure - some of the prettiest country I've ever seen. Our guides (Evan & Aaron) pointed out every nook and cranny the canyon offered. We were confident in their abilities all day, even when not the best of students and got tossed from the raft. Great stories, fantastic memories - can't wait to ride the upper section with ARTA!!!

We did the all day Toulumne trip. We had a pretty bad flip on rapid number 2 but then regained confidence and had a very fun day. Well looked after and knowledgable hide (Evan). Definitely the right company to choose. Pick up is near evergreen lodge/grove land.

First time I did white water rafting and for sure not the last.I took the two day river trip and I recommend that option.Our lead guide, Isaac, was very experienced and knowledgable. As there were two escorting rafts on the trip, each with equipment and a single guide navigating it, it was clear that the guides don't really need us in order to go down stream safely, but after Isaac got to know us on the first day, he was able to lead us into the more adventurous ways to go through the rapids, while maintaining safety.Arta makes their trips a lot of fun, with hikes to side streams and pools and with a lot of very good food.The tuolomne provides great white water and scenic views.I'm going to take the family next time.These trips are not cheap, but Arta's priced it somewhat lower, and I did not feel there was anything I could have gotten in a more expensive trip.

This was our 4th rafting trip and by far the best. The guides were top-notch, river was challenging and lunch was great. We did the full-day on the Toulumne which is not for the faint of heart or out of shape. The river had lots of class IV rapids. We did 18 miles over about 7 hours. The guides put out a fantastic lunch. We stopped at two spots to jump off some high ledges and got to swim some of the rapids. Overall great day!
