simpson park

A very nice, scenic park with some amazing views of the valley. My only mistake was that we didn't exit the park on time and we were "locked in" for almost 2 hours (totally my fault).

We much enjoyed the hike in this park. There are numerous trails, and you can pick up a trail map at the start. You can go for an hour or more, or just have a picnic, it's entirely up to you. Great view of the surrounding area, including Diamond "Lake" Reservoir.PLEASE BE AWARE that the gates to the park close automatically at a certain time. You will not be able to drive out later than the posted time.There is a picnic shelter, and also washrooms. I would have given this park 5 stars, but the washrooms were so disgusting, you really just want to use them in an emergency.
