I was the designated driver for my daughter and one of my friends on our day tour of LIvermore.. The staff was very informative about the wines available for tasting that day. I prefer beer over wine, but took a sip of a few of my daughter's wines and all of them were very good. In addition to just pouring, the staff also explained all of the sales that day and how the wines should be used and paired with food. In addition to the wine tasting room -- there are very clean restrooms available, and a small gift shop. There are some very nice gifts made of recycled materials. I purchased a candle made from recycled wine bottles. The soy candle scents were different types of wine. Some of the proceeds from the candle maker go to animal rescue groups. There were also some other very unique items at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommended stopping here on your wine tasting tour.
Located at the border of Livermore/Tracy, California area? This winery is off Tesla Rd. perched on a hilltop. FUN road off the Tesla to get there! They are using a converted warehouse type of building which lends itself nicely to wine tasting. Currently, both Eagle Ridge and Dante Robbes (sp) are utilizing this tasting room. I preferred the DR wines, but well to remember? These are fairly young wineries (DR is building a new winery in Livermore currently) My favorite of the DR wines was their Chardonnay (and I'm not a Chardonnay drinker!) Their "Rat's Red" is a very good table wine. The winery owners are real nice people and they do have sweeping views of the LM valley. Awesome on a lovely day! There is, ample parking which is always nice.
Crooked Vine Winery is now the name of this winery. We visited here in Aug.2013 and we were not impressed. The man serving the wine told us nothing. We were served the wine and paid the fee for the tasting, but learned nothing as to the wine making process. It was disappointing to say the least. Our visit to Concannon Winery, which is next door, gave us a lot of information on their wine making process, I would not return to this winery.
Crooked Vine is the most amazing wedding venue! You have 3 different venues in one (beautiful lawn for ceremony, barrel room for cocktail hour and later dancing and cake and the patio for the reception dinner). The natural wood and stone architecture is breathtaking. Courtney and the staff are awesome and so helpful and friendly. Every thing I asked about or requested was accommodated or a good alternative was offered. She knew exactly when to jump in and help and when to hang back. The venue was magical and perfect! Thank you Crooked Vine
This was our first stop for our wine tasting journey. The staff there seem quite occupied with other things once they got us set up with our first wine. Didn't seem to have enough time with us to answer our questions.Other than that the wine tasting was fairly cheap. They waive the fee if you ended up buying wine from them
again another nice winery to try. restaurant on site. knew the former owner, and fell in love with her wines.
Love the wine and the fun we had on the Wine Tour in September.Get on the bus and spend some time at this winery. Maybe have a wedding there.
