We have seen several shows here. The theater is a perfect size that all the seats have a good view. Whether you are in the 1st row, middle, or towards the back, they all are close enough to feel like you are paying for the best seats in the house. And the variety of events there is also great. They have dog shows, opera, jazz bands, local plays, and good music. We are lucky to have this in our town and the price is right. They also have some special pricing some times which helps not break the bank. The recent monthly free science Saturdays for the kids was very informative and well done. The staff is mostly volunteers and take their position very seriously. I can't say enough about this venue. If you haven't gone to enjoy an event, please do.
We enjoyed seeing the Olate Dogs the week-end after Christmas at the Bankhead Theater. It was lots of fun to see these amazing dogs. They are first "rescue" dogs that were trained; they are amazing to watch. We liked the movies and the comic acts that went along with the show. The trainers (Olate father and son) are very good and their story of coming from South America and the path to Winning America's Got Talent is heart warming. This was a good show to see.The Bankhead Theater is an excellent place to see a show. We parked in the large parking structure by the theater; parking is free.We purchased our tickets for the show on the web.
A small theater for locals to catch 3rd rate acts, plays, and musicians. Venue is usually quirky. Bookings like string quartets or unknown single artists are the norm. Seats are comfortable, small little concession booth for refreshments. Plenty of nearby parking. In my humble opinion the bookings are just too classical and boring. Even the Nutcracker act was boring and 3rd rate.
We attended a concert at the Bankhead in the past and found it comfortable with fairly easy access in downtown Livermore...Small theater with about 500 capacity...Good seats everywhere and good sound too...We will return when we want to see another musical group or singer perform here....We were able to attend for free this time as we knew the group performing...but the tickets weren't that pricey if you had to pay for them....
I love the Bankhead. It is really nice to see high quality performances, hear wonderful speakers in my home town.
We saw Livermore Valley Opera's production of Rossini's Cinderella at the Bankhead Theater. Amazing! Great acoustics and although we sat in a side section, we had great stage views. Livermore has an outstanding opera company and the perfect theater to show off their awesome talent!
Bankhead Theater is a very nice "live" theater in downtown Livermore. What I mean by live is they have live music groups (this summer the Tubes), plays, special events, and more, It is nicely located in downtown Livermore. They mostly do events on the week-ends, but do check on their web site for what the theater has scheduled for the future.Tickets can be bought on line or at the ticket office at the theater. There is a large parking lot behind the theater where you can park your car when you are going to the theater. There are restaurants within walking distance; recommend making reservations in advance if you plan to dine on a theater evening.
Bankhead Theater has the greatest live performances anywhere. I've been here many times. When my mom was alive we would take her to see, "Nutcracker Suite". It was our annual Christmas celebration. Thanks, Bankhead, for making such memorable events for me.
If there is something going on here it will be an A-1 experience. I have been to many things here over the years and loved all but the art shows (just not me) But downtown Livermore is so fun and this place is awesome if you get a chance you will enjoy it
Every seat is a good seat. Enjoy all the extras available to the theater goer. Convenient parking, great restaurants in the same location. Meet your friends bring your family. A center Livermore should and is very proud of.
The individual seats could be more comfortable and there are areas that you can not see the whole stage. I have been disappointed with the Bankhead from the first day it opened!
Not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics very good. It would be great even if it were not the only game for miles around.
Every seat in the house is a good one. The acoustics are great. The tickets are fairly priced and so are the concessions.I think the one problem they may have is attracting popular productions consistently to the venue - sometimes they are off the radar. You have to remember to check to see what is happening at the theater. Because they share a garage with the movie theater and the rail, parking is a problem.
This is a really we'll designed theater that can honestly say every seat in the house is good. Site lines are excellent and acoustics very good. The stage and lighting are first class. Parking is easy with the free municipal garage right behind the theater.
The Bankhead Theater is a brand new facility, in the heart of Livermore, surrounded by excellent restaurants and general night life. The theater provides a 52 week array of play, musicals and individual performers, and ideal for ALL the family. If the cost of the big theaters in San Francisco is just too much, then try the excellent entertainment and arts that the Bankhead provides.
