You walk into this amazing space and immediately you know you've hit the mother lode. Kind of a play on words because this tasting room in smack in the middle of the small town of Murphys in Gold Country that is now Wine Country. Marisolio is on Main Street nestled among a ton of wine tasting rooms. Marisolio's owner, Mary Louise has invested wisely with stainless steel (for the olive oil) and porcelain crocks (for the vinegar) from Italy (not cheap), that line all the walls and islands in the store. There is a large chart with oil and vinegar pairing suggestions. So, you go to a crock, take the little plastic cup, squirt it with oil from the squirt bottle provided, then go to the vinegar and let your taste buds go to nirvana. They also provide bread chunks to dip. Yum. All the staff is incredibly welcoming, nice, and helpful. We bought tons, especially because they had a sale going on which they say they do often. Oh, and don't forget the handmade pasta they carry. You should go. BTW, we went twice during our stay in town. Had to. I would provide a picture but don't see where to post.
