I went on a 8 mile hike here on a warm day in February. I recommend you take a small car to the trail head as the dirt road you must take is narrow and treacherous. The falls and rock formations were mildly impressive. Be careful on the rocks near the falls, as it is very easy to slip down them. I would not recommend going into the water. Bring a camera and good hiking shoes with tread. Prepare yourself for enough time to drive on the winding dirt road.
It takes a little effort to get there, both by car to the parking lot and the relatively short and easy walk to the falls. Visit in the spring when there is a lot of water
Beautiful and fun hiking. Easy to hike and takes a long time to drive there. You can relax at the falls, they were flowing even though we had not a lot of rain that season.
Its descent hike, fun and cool if the water is running. Problem is its so close to populated areas the TRASH has ruined it. They've littered and “graffitied” which ruins the hike. It’s still descent just not what it could be because of those trashy people. D*** shame.
This charming spot is only 1/2 mile walk from the parking area, though the one-lane road to get there, winding through the Cleveland Natl Forest can be a little intimidating. Still, if it were easier to get to, it would be more crowded. We spent an afternoon there and only saw about 4 other groups come to enjoy the falls. Love the turtle rock!
This hike is nice for those who are looking for something easy and not very stenuous. The walk is very beautiful and the trail is very easy to find. This is a good trail for families. I wouldn't say the waterfall is a destination exactly, it is a bit light for my taste. In the spring/winter is the best time for a heavier flowing fall. There are better falls in Southern California, but they are a little bit harder to get to. Overall, this is a nice hike just to enjoy the peaceful scenery and nature. The fall is pretty, but not jawdropping. Easiest hike in the area to enjoy.
