we arrived on a Sunday, got 2 jumps in, met a lot of great people, both employees and jumpers/skydivers, from all over the world. We also Enjoyed the bar and restaurant. I personally did not jump but watched my boyfriend jump another 3 jumps on Monday all the while by laying by the pool. Daryl Light was super friendly and knowledgable. I walked over to the indoor skydiving (wind tunnel) and 15 minutes later was suited up and going for a "flight" myself. Sammy Angel and Kurt Roeper were so awesome! Very helpful and understanding and made us all feel safe and ....relaxed. I highly recommend skydive perris!
I took my 10 and 15 year old kids to do the indoor sky diving it was so much fun . My 10 year old was a little resistant to do it but the staff there talk him thru the steps and he felt better to do it . love how the instructors take there time to help you and make you fell safe. I recommend anyone to do this and take it off your bucket list its so much fun. its a great adrenalin rush..
Took the kids here when they were 8 and 6. It was awesome. Our daughter 6 (a gymnast) got the hang of it right away and had a ton of fun. Our older son took a little more time but the instructor helped him out and made it a blast as well. They came out so jacked on adrenelin that they were almost bounding off the walls of the place.
Stayed in Elsinore and popped over to Perris for a hot air balloon jump (with Dan - $100 pp) and stayed at skydive Perris jumping for the day. Professional DZ brief, docs check & kit inspection prior to jumping. Lots of loads going up all day long ( we were there during the women's world record attempt so couldn't use the sky vans, but plenty of other aircraft available). The on site restaurant "The bombshelter" which is located right next to the pool and sun lounger area has great food at very good prices with very friendly staff.$25 a jump for experienced skydivers, not sure about tandems All in all a good place for experienced skydivers but I personally think Skydive Elsinore is better for AFF students and improver students.
Stayed for a week in their bunkhouse. For 10$ a night it's great value. Sure the kitchen was messy, sure the bunkhouse shower was messy, but that's all our fault..the ones living there. Linen to the bed and towels was provided for which is awesome. The on site restaurant "The bombshelter" has nice food for good prices...staff excellent! Generous portions...The main operations of the skydiving is handled by two Twin Otters. Everything from basic skydiving to wing suiting can be done or taught here. Talk to Lawrence..he'll sort you out.People in the manifest are a bunch of peaches...26€/solo jump or cheaper if you buy more off the bat....all in all a great place either to learn how to skydive OR improve on what you already know...
I went sky diving with family and friends for my dad’s birthday and had a blast. Everyone that I asked where the best place to go skydiving is gave me the same answer, Perris Valley. This place has the best drop zone in the world. The day we went we even saw military personnel training and jumping there. If you’re looking to have a great outdoor experience there is nothing like jumping out of an airplane. I would highly recommend this adventure to all thrill seekers and non-thrill seekers.
My adult son has wanted to skydive for a while now. Then his sister brought up the idea for a skydiving package as a gift for his 25th birthday and we called Skydive Perris. After a conversation with their friendly staff, we booked their Sensory Overload Package.Guests should plan for the Sensory Overload Package to take about three-quarters of the day. His day began at 10:15am with two indoor skydiving flights in their Skydiving Simulator (wind tunnel)… they say that this is comparable to two skydives from 12,500ft w/120mph winds. The jumper is given a flight training briefing by a Certified Body Flight Instructor. Then they have you gear up with indoor skydiving gear from head to toe, complete with helmet and earplugs… wear comfortable clothes and bring sneakers. Each indoor flight takes about a minute and there are two instructors with you in the simulator, one with you at all times and the other either in the simulator or giving directions from the door. There is another employee who runs the equipment and is watching what is happening in the simulator at all times. AnnMar from South Africa was one of the trainers (both of whom were excellent)! Friends and family are welcome to watch and cheer you on from the observation deck and they can take as many pictures/videos as they wish… in fact, if the instructors see you are taking pictures, they line your loved one up and make sure you get some great video/photos! Perris Skydiving will also set you up with a photo package of their own, if you wish… no pressure!Let me take this moment to make this point to emphasize… EVERY STAFF MEMBER WE ENCOUNTERED WAS FANTASTIC! This is a big production, it is well thought out, brilliantly organized and they have excellent customer service! We told the staff that the tandem jump from the plane was going to be a surprise for my son, so ‘mum-was-the-word’ and he had no idea what was going on until he had to sign the paperwork! It was sweeeeeetttt! While he really liked the indoor jumps, he was secretly kinda bummed to be so close to the REAL jumpers and yet so far… so when we lured him over to the airfield to watch some jumpers land he complied, but half-heartedly… it wasn’t until he was in the Flight School Office that he found out the day was not yet over… we really surprised him!Part two of the Sensory Overload Package was the tandem jump. A Tandem Skydive is where you are physically/securely harnessed to an instructor during your jump, the jumper freefalls from 12,500ft with the expertise of an experienced instructor. The pair free-fall for nearly one minute, to 5,000ft where they deploy the canopy and then float down to a soft, controlled landing. Perris Skydive provides all gear and you are also given a short training for this. We saw ALL types of people doing this tandem jump, everyone loved it! Oh yes, the Sensory Overload Package provides you with a souvenir “I JUMPED” T-Shirt! When all was said, seen and done... we were back on the road - headed for home a little after 3pm.Note... my husband and I purchased a video package in addition to the Sensory Overload Package… it was about $90 (with the military discount) and it had a pre-flight interview, video while he was in the plane whilst reaching altitude, then his personal videographer jumped with the tandem team for remote footage, additionally his instructor had a Go-Pro in his glove to interview my son as they were floating down. In the meantime the videographer then hurried to land so he could catch the tandem-team’s landing on tape, afterwards he post-jump interviewed my son (to catch the afterglow). Lastly this was neatly edited and given to us in the form of a DVD in less than a half hour! My son is a very reserved kind of guy… so the look on his face during the entire jump was priceless to us! Incredible and worth every penny!Families and friends were not forgotten by Skydive Perris. Perris, California is HOT in the summer! It was over 100 degrees the July day we were there. But, there is plenty of shade, plenty of seating, a pool guests can use for free, a restaurant with a bar (alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted for skydivers!) and a good variety of fairly decent short-order food served quickly. If you are too hot and need air-conditioning, the restaurant is nice and cool and there are a few offices (Tandem Jump School office and the Video Viewing Room) that you can duck in to for a bit.Summing it up…• Excellent staff (from all over the world)• Smooth Operation• Friendly atmosphere• Incredible experience!Special Thanks to Instructor James Perez, Videographer Simeon Lott and Customer Service Rep Lori... our whole family had a blast!
Skydiving is one of the top 3 items in my long bucket list of things to do and am glad that I did my first ever tandem dive with Perris Valley. I have a limited mobility challenge and have been researching about Tandem for People with Disabilities and Skydive Perris came through as a convincing option. I connected with James Perez 4 to 5 weeks before my long trip from Bangalore to LA, He set expectations also also shared the requirements very clearly.. Rob Wallace was my Tandem instructor, One of the coolest instructors and very very helpful. Over all an awesome experience and the Perris Valley team is just great! Thanks for making it memorable!Look forward to a Tandem again with Skydive Perris Team and Rob Wallace!
My husband and I decided to get our skydiving licenses this year and after a lot of research decided Skydive Perris was the place to do it. We spent the first 10 days of March working our way through the AFF course. We managed to pick the weirdest week for weather, so we had several non-jump days, but we hung out at the drop zone and talked to instructors about gear and theory and watched more experienced jumpers doing their thing. We had nothing but great interactions with staff members and owners. There is an amazing depth of knowledge and experience to be found at this drop zone! Instructors are friendly and take time to explain things and share personal experiences with you. Everyone we worked with is passionate about the sport and want you to succeed. They also have an indoor wind tunnel at the drop zone - which is fantastic if the weather isn't allowing for actual jumps! We will be back in a few weeks to continue working towards our A licenses and look forward to
If you have ever thought about trying the tandom sky dive its a must do at this place.....everyone was really friendly and helpful....explaining in detail what to expect.....I was really nervous.....but no need to be....Lori who works there just walks around and chats with customers and answers questions and puts your mind at ease....celebrating my 60th birthday with great friend .....It wasnt even scary they make it so easy and fun.....great restaurant and bar for after celebration.....its a MUST DO......:).
I've skydived in England before but this was 10 times better. Because it's California there is no waiting around for decent weather, even in November. As soon as we'd done the formalities we were getting geared up and on the plane. Obviously the jump is the best bit and the views are pretty spectacular from 12,500 feet! I personally wouldn't bother with the indoor jump - instead of spending that money do the tandem jump twice (there's a discount if you book again after your first jump, voucher last for up to a year). Also, fill out the questionnaire afterwards and you get a free T-Shirt to commemorate the day!
The best RW organizers on the West coast, fun events and challenging skydives. A must visit whether it's your first or 500th jump!
If this is not on your list then you need to live a little more. My awesome boyfriend got me and my sister vouchers to skydive for my birthday. We did the indoor skydive first which was helpful in knowing what to expect though it doesn't compare to the real thing. We opted for the cheaper of the two videos which was a camera on your instructor's wrist instead of another diver filming you from a distance. Everyone was friendly and the service was great, especially my instructor Jim. The only thing is that if you go on a day when they have divers from all over the world jumping you could wait a while before your turn, so maybe call ahead. All in all I WOULD DO THIS AGAIN. AWESOME EXPERIENCE.
Whether you are an experienced jumper, looking for a tandem, or just want to have a lunch or a beer and watch skydivers form up overhead and land, Skydive Perris is among the best spots in the nation!
My instructor Jim was hilarious and to jump out of an airplane with my lovely boyfriend was absolutely amazing. I will be back and jump one more time next time i'm visiting California.
