We have been to the Monterey Peninsula many times. The coastal drive around Monterey/Pacific Grove is majestic. There are many places to pull off and enjoy the sea life and views. Stop and read, animal watch, or just kick back....highly recommend a great day venue on the coast, beside's great seafood is close by.

This is one of our favorite spots! The ocean views are amazing! We never fail to see seals and sea otters. The entire landscape is gorgeous - sea, rocks, trees, succulents and flowers! Even the houses are interesting to see. Great place to see the sunset, too!

Too many people on the weekends. I liked walking the area, the (used to be free)nature museum. Talk to locals, ask questions.

We spent a few minutes walking along the shore path almost every day. We always saw a variety of wildlife -- sea lions, otters, seals, lots of birds -- and interesting flowers and succulents. It's hard-packed dirt/fine gravel/occasionally paved surface, and a fairly flat track for walking or jogging.

There is a recreational Trail running parallel to the Blvd.It extends into Sunset Dr in the West and Cannery Row in Monterey.Close to sun set it gets very busy and there are cars parked, were they can to watchthe beautiful sun sets.

We roamed around the Pacific Grove coast area while driving through to San Francisco and just had to stop, it was a really nice spot and very nice (the fact that it was sunny day also helped)! I would love to retire to this place..

Yes, this attraction is not as diverse as "Point Lobos" I already reviewed but it is free. Moreover, you can easily stopped at many view points as you like. Another selling point is to take pictures of wildflowers at "Lover's point" although it was a bit early now.

Pleasant drive along the waterfront from Cannery Row around Lovers Point and Point Pinos, past the lighthouse and around to the Asilomar, where the road becomes Sunset Drive.

The boulevard walk is definitely worthwhile. The ocean views are excellent and it is also possible to appreciate to appreciate some of the architecture that distinguishes Pacific Grove.

Wonderful piece of coast line at the southern end of the Monterey Peninsula, away from most of the hustle and bustle of Monterey. Start at Lovers Point and walk as far as you want Asilimar Beach is a great place to turn and head back home. They are plenty of benches to rest and take in the magnificent views and absorb the sound of nature. And don't forget to take water and your camera.

Our bed and breakfast looks over the boulevard and as I am sitting right now, I ear the waves breaking and the quiet of the seashore. Great walking!

Ocean view Blvd in Pacific Grove has the best beauty and use for the Monterey Bay. It is uncluttered and natural compared to the Cannery Row tourist area and business sections along the Northern part. When the tide is out, there are many stone staircases down to the wet sand where you can bring little guys to inspect hermit crabs and other tide pool species. The walking path is well maintained and very clean. The homes along this blvd are interesting to look at too. As you draw closer to Lover's Point Beach you can find a few places to stop and eat too.

If you're paying a visit to the Monterey Penineula, be sure to take the drive around Lover's Point and Oceanview. You can do it in a few minutes or linger all day -- however much time you have. Either way, you'll find the ocean, rocks, waves and general ambiance unforgetable. And it's free.

If you yearn for a small town Christmas you have to visit Pacific Grove during the holiday season. The decorated storefronts the merchants that truly enjoy sharing their unique coastal wares with you. So put the rat-race behind you even if it is only for a few hours. Parking is not too bad and the walk is pleasant and not overly crowded.

Bring your bike or just your walking shoes, this is a MUST do when you are in the area! Either side of the street offers fabulous views. If you aren't looking at the breathtaking Pacific Ocean, then the gorgeous homes are a delight to see!
