If you are in the Wenatchee Valley, and love great wine, You have to go to Martin Scott Winery in East Wenatchee. The wine is fabulous, the view is amazing and you will fall in love with this place. Mike and Judy Scott love t serving their wine and chatting with the their guests. You can sign up for their wine club and ask about wine paired dinners.
This is a family owned business. They are interested in making excellent wines at a reasonable price point. A small place with the most friendly owners. For my taste they make great whites and very good reds. That might not be your choice so go try it out. Fees can be charged but waived with purchase. In the summer months they host a dinner on the tasting room patio. We attended the one in August and as always enjoyed our selves greatly. There are few better sights then watching the sun set over the cascade range, the Columbia river below, and the lights of Wenatchee brighten as night falls. In addition the food was great and the wines excellent. This place has been in our top 10 for many years now and never disappoints. Visit the website for more info.
We've been visiting Martin Scott Winery for five years or so. Perched high above the Columbia River as it threads it's way through Wenatchee, the facility, which is the lower level of the Scott home, is beautiful, with unique views up, down, and across the river. The winemaker, Mike Scott, is always there and takes very good care of visitors. He likes to talk about his vines and his wine, and give tours. I always look forward to a visit!
Short drive out of Wenatchee. Lovely grounds and fantastic view from the patio. Their wines are well known. Wonderful hosts; we really enjoyed our visit and I'm sure you will too. I even bought the winery logo hat.
We can't say enough about this winery. Not only do they have outstanding wines, their outside patio seating area is surrounded by fabulous landscaping & gorgeous mountain views beyond the vineyard. The owners are so friendly & informative. You can choose to do your tasting in their beautifully appointed tasting room but maybe also relax on the patio with a glass of your favorite wine & their fabulous cheese plate. They also host weekly dinner events which we haven't been to but definitely plan to try. This is probably our favorite winery in the area!
Found out about the winery last summer and went for a tasting. This is a winery with a fabulous view of the Wenatchee river valley and definitely worth a visit. Bottom level houses a tasting room and large patio with sweeping views of the vineyards and valley. Upstairs is their home. Wines are good and affordable! Last night we went to one of the weekly Thursday night summer dinners on the patio with chef Tim from Smokeblossom cooking a multi-course fabulous dinner! We'll be back!
Martin-Scott winery has just breathtaking views! The location was perfect and the tasting room had a nice patio looking over the view. We were in Wentachee for the Red Wine & Chocolate event and this was our first stop. The woman (I forgot her name!) managing the tasting room was very friendly and welcoming. She poured us some great wine and chatted with us. We took a peak in the back, and it looks like they have a great room for banquets. Towards the end of our visit, Mike, the owner/winemaker, came in and talked with us for a while. When he found out we were heading down to Yakima later that night to stay at Birchfield Manor, he asked us to deliver a bottle of wine to the owner, one of his old aquaintances, which we were happy to do. It's great to see such great hospitality on this side of the state. (We are from Seattle and I can't say the same about the city!)My husband and I don't usually drink Gewurztraminer, but MS had such an interesting one, that we had to buy a bottle! We bought a Pinot Grigio as well. If we had more time, we would have loved to sit on their patio and drink a glass while soaking up the sun and views!I would highly recommend a visit to Martin-Scott if you are in the Wenatchee area.
While camping at nearby Lincoln Rock State Park, we decided to visit some local wineries in the Wenatchee area. We were told my friends that we must go to Martin Scott and boy, were they right! Gorgeous views and beautiful location, lovely wines and tasting room and patio. The owner was so warm and welcoming and we loved hearing all about their properties, including 7 acres of grapes, and more with apples and cherries. We heard about some fabulous catered dinners they offer and will be adding that to our next visit's agenda!
