An amazing collection of farm implements, mining tools, household items, etc, and the owner, Jerry Senner, delights in showing visitors how everything works. Can't wait to take my North Carolina farmer uncle here next time he visits.
This little museum has the nicest people, wonderful artifacts, and is kid friendly. What a wonderful experience. I took my grandchildren there at Christmas and made ornaments in the old traditions.
Wonderful, hands-on collection of items that help to understand life on an American farm in the past. And some equipment can be operated under supervision of a keeper. During the visit a gentleman named Jerry was so kind to let us kick-start a washer gasoline engine, operate a steam tractor, saw a log with a tractor-powered saw and try a tractor-powered washer-dryer. There are also several model trains, corn grinders, old vacuums (operational) and lots of other household and agricultural stuff. Despite initial skepticism about entertainment value of exhibits (i.e. expecting to be bored, in plain language), my 9-yo son was fascinated, and mighty enjoyed the museum. I enjoyed it very much, too. Thank you, Jerry! The museum does not charge a fee, but there is donations box. Please be generous to keep this place open!
