So few reviews, which is too bad. The museum itself is so-so, true enough, but the planes on display are really interesting, including the "flying White House" and the tour of the base is worth your time. A truly interesting visit to the actual Minuteman launch silo... what can one say.The only strange element is a much too obvious suggestion that the tour guide should be tipped. Ours was a retired USAF officer, which added to the uneasiness of the situation.

We were told of this AFB display and museum when we were at the Minuteman Missile National Historical Site 70 miles east of Rapid City. Well marked off I-90. We were very impressed with the number of old military planes and museum displays. We did not take the $8 tour as we saw the same things at the Historical Site for free. It was very windy and cold the day we were there so we didn't spend a lot of time outside.

The museum is pretty ordinary, but if you like old Air Force planes they are really amazing. Also spend $8 and take the bus tour, which brings you to a Minuteman Missile Silo that was used for training. It is well worth it.

We walked around the planes outside and checked out the exhibits inside. Took the bus tour of the base and missile silo, that was very worthwhile and very educational.
