After all the signs, we didn't know what to expect. It is a big place to stop and stretch your legs before going through the Badlands. The hours were not right, so we only got to spend 10 minutes the night before to step inside. (5:30 closing)After spending the night in town, we made it back the next AM to go through everything as it was opening at 8:30. We looked through everything and made some small touristy purchases and were on our way after we tried a cake donut for the road. You could buy pottery, rocks, books native to the area, jewelry, leather goods, souvenirs and lunch all under one roof. Not like shopping at the mall, but worth the stop.

I have been visiting Wall Drug since I was a child and it is a place that holds a lot of memories for me. Its great. There is a restaurant and a bunch of gift shops as well as an area for kids in the courtyard. There is a stagecoach and a horse cart as well as a jackalope to sit on a take pictures. I took the exact same picture of my Husband sitting on it as I had taken of my Dad 40 years earlier. The only thing we were disappointed about is they did not have the ice water that they are famous for. This was my Husbands first visit and I wanted him to be able to have a drink of the ice water. But other than that this place makes for a nice relaxing day of shopping and eating. If you are in the area of Mt. Rushmore make sure you plan to visit Wall drug. It is well worth it.

When we went to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore, we took an evening trip to Wall Drug.To really enjoy the trip, it pays to catch up on the kitschy history of the place so you feel part of the chain. Then, you have fun watching for the signs as you get closer.It's a bunch of giftshops basically, but with western design and some cute items. I'm glad we went.

no trip to the Badlands is complete without a stopover in Wall and a visit to the famous Wall Drug. 20 years and counting.

I have been coming here for years. It is a nice place to stop and cool off after a ride through the badlands on a motorcycle. It has been our habit to stop for the 5 cent coffee, a doughnut, and a the air conditioning. If you want to see the Sturgis rally at a distance, hang out in Wall, many a biker will pass through.

We were traveling to rapid city and kept seeing signs for wall drug store, so we decided to stop in. What a fun place so many shops and lots of trinkets and such. We will certainly stop by here again when we're near.

I had heard so much about the "famous" Wall Drug and was looking forward to visiting it during out cross country drive. Everywhere I had seen online said that it was open until 8 pm. Well, when we got to the Wall Drug it was closed. At 5:30 pm. I was so disappointed. Their hours were listed online everywhere, yet they were not correct. I will probably not be making any out of the way trips to see this place ever again.

Visited here many different times throughout my childhood. Revisited in 2014 with my wife. She had never heard of the place... Then again she hasn't traveled that much without flying.This is the definition of tourist trap, but is fun to visit anyway. You can find something here to enjoy regardless of your interests.It doesn't cost anything to look.

A definite DON'T MISS!! Anything and everything! Allow more than a day, because there's no way you can see and do everything in just one day! Plan on buying souvenirs... For yourself, family and friends. Reasonably priced/huge selection. Take your camera and comfy shoes!

You will not be blown away but I would be disappointed in anybody who doesn't appreciate the kitchy fun-spirited atmosphere that wall drug offers. Wall drug offers something unique and refreshing to the area. Lots of eye candy and goofy fun for the family

If you are going to spend a day in the Wall area, this is a place to see. It's much more than a drugstore. There is artwork, food places, historical information,etc. we liked the ice cream shoppe enough to stop there twice.

Wall Drug is the only place advertised World Wide and should be seen by anyone that is on their way to Rapid City, South Dakota and then of course seeing Mount Rushmore while in that area is a plus for anyone that has never been to South Dakota.

One of America's best attractions. Been there many times and loved it each time. Great family owned attraction. The five cent cup of coffee and the free ice water keep the people coming!

How can this UNIQUE joint be average? Go, at least once, and especially if you have kids along; put your little ones on a leash, lest you lose them in the crowds. Noisy, hectic, fun. Go play in the water of the squirting fountain out back!

A quant little place with numerous stores inside a store. the hallway with the benches and maniquanes make for a nice photo op. plent of parking of the main street and i plan on visiting again when its warmer to see the difference this may make.
