Just had an outing for work and had some fun. Kart racing was great! Loved it and the whole team did. We had the whole place to ourselves and raced 4 or 5 times. Was a blast. Great beer selection when we were done. Food was average at best. We had hotdogs and hamburgers. Not the best food but for the venue is what should be expected. As long as you come here for the racing and the food is just something to eat and tide you over you won't be disappointed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great place, except for the food. Enjoy!
- I did not eat at the restaurant - This is a kart racing review only -I recently became an avid rental kart racer, so when I was making a weekend trip to Raleigh I found out about Rush Hour.Searching the company website I learned about the membership pricing opportunities. I definitely took advantage of it as I live three hours away, so it made the most financial (cents) sense. Two races, a membership, Free birthday month race, head sock, t-shirt and weekly member pricing all for a fantastic price - which is not a deal that can be found at the Charlotte area tracks. This trip took place in September, so I was able to use my birthday month free race on top the two that came with the membership. It made for a fun Saturday afternoon!I brought my own helmet, but included in the price is a head sock and the use of their helmets and neck braces. The track workers explain the track rules in the meeting room and then assist you in finding the right safety gear. They were helpful and friendly - quite a surprise. I was familiar with the Sodi karts as they are the most commonly used arrive-and-drive machinery. The track is a challenging and fun design. I just wish they would open up the speed limiters on the karts - it would make for even more fun racing! They have arcade games available to continue pegging the fun-meter. They also have a restaurant connected to the track, but did not partake in stuffing my face.Definitely would stop by again if I am in the area.
AVOID THIS PLACE BY ALL COST!We had an event here for our baseball team (over 50 people)And the staff was just rude all the way around. There was one staff member in particular, a thin, shorter young lady who was in charge of putting racers into the system for their races. She had an attitude, pushed some of our boy's races back by two hours (and we had to wait) and what's worst is when I told two of who appeared to be the managers (a guy and a freckled faced young lady) they both where just as rude making excuses for her. To top it off the food was old, tasteless and much to expensive. What really saddens me is when I told the "manger" that I was planning on writing a review to let others know of our experience his reply was "so what, we can write more positive reviews and post them". This can only mean that all of the positive reviews that you see here or anywhere else are fake and written by Rush Hour's staff. Save your money, it's no wonder why so many other people are disappointed with them as well.
One of my favorite things to do is go go Karting. You get tired of slow little Adventure Landing karts. If you feel the need to go fast and sling the hack end around a corner go to rush hour. This place is fun and the people are very personal
This is an indoor karting track, approximately 30 – 40 minutes drive from Raleigh NC.The facility contains a tight and twisty track with a viewing area, bar with pool and televisions showing sports and a small arcade. It’s good value, with 3 x 11 lap races costing $42. Prior to the first race there’s a short safety briefing and drivers are kitted out with helmet and neck brace.Being inside, the track surface is concrete, which for anyone who has raced on tarmac / asphalt tracks, takes a lap or two to get used to. For a tight track it does have some quick sections. The first third of the lap is the fastest and great for practicing those 4 wheel drifts and slides that make karting such fun. It’s a difficult track to pass on, but is frantic and enormously good fun. Recommended.
