First off it might not be the best idea for the faint of heart. The amount of information, old equipment, and relevance to the community is astounding. The tour Guide was outstanding and knew the answer to pretty much every question and then some. It's wasn't overly gory by any means but there were a couple things in the museum that might turn a stomach or two. My wife and I loved every part of it. If you are in the area or plan to I'd suggest it for sure and the price is low for admission and tour.
Great step back to an old time Doctor 's office. Guides or docent were very knowledgeable. Nice Spring outing, and a nice drive to get here.
We enjoyed our visit to Dr Ford's home and office. The guide was very informative and knowledgable. The restoration was fantastic and very well done and through. We spend several hours there2-3. Way more that we thought we would because it was so informative.
We visited the Ford House while on a trip to Wabash and so glad we did ! The lovely and bubbly girl at the tourism bureau suggested we take the tour of the home as one of the many things to do in Wabash. We were there for two hours thoroughly enjoying the stories the guide was sharing with us. He was the perfect person to impart the wonderful stories about the Ford family and we felt like we were transported back in time while there. Thanks !
This historic home and doctor's office gives a wonderful glimpse into the past of one of Wabash's first physician's practice and family life. Well worth a visit.
Sarah did an excellent job giving us the history and describing the artifacts in this nicely done restoration . The Fords were amazing people whose lives, descendants, and other contributions continue to impact this community. If you like history, historical artifacts, or inspirational life stories, it is a "must see."
It's a beautifully restored 19th-century doctor's home and barn, with interactive exhibits and audio. Beautifully furnished with period antiques.
Dr. Ford had his practice in his home and also served in the civil war. Whether you are interested in history, family life or medicine, you should find this museum worthwhile to visit.
