We went to see Zionsville History with my parents while they were visiting. It is free. There is a lot of local and genuine memorabilia to see. From clothing to photos to "electronics of the past", if you have time to walk and read, it's worth your time. In the back of the museum was an art class being taught to a variety of ages of adults. What a little gem!
We had scheduled an afternoon tea at the Serenity Tea House and wanted to see what else there was to do in Zionsville. We learned they give a walking tour of this historic and lovely town. We found it well worthwhile to learn about Zionsville’s past. They have a Bentley Car Dealership which is right next door to Dairy Queen. Our guided said her son thinks it’s a kick that one can buy a Blizzard, then go next door and buy a Bentley. The architecture is quite interesting, but there are things you will miss if you don’t take the tour. Well worth the modest fee.
This quaint small art museum is a gem. I've been in it consistently in the last 6 months and I love their exhibits. They change quite frequently and are well worth popping in for. It's good for a half hour visit. Nice place to browse or buy.
Excellent show of local artists and artisans. I bought several pieces. The cultural center iteslf is very homey and welcoming and people there very friendly.
Was at one time and excellent local history museum and source for local information. Now it is a mere shadow or what it was. No long appears interested in local history. As sad state of affairs
Loved this little place in downtown Zionsville! They always have interesting featured exhibits. The Ghost Walk every October is a must. Take time to stroll around Zionsville!
SullivanMunce Cultural Center is a small museum, art center and genealogy library.Through Memorial Day, the museum has "Remembered Light: Glass Fragment from World War II." This is an amazing exhibit for such a small museum and the town of Zionsville. I highly recommend that people see this. The art center is great. They offer a number of classes for adult and children. You can take pottery, painting and even bridge. The genealogy libary is one of the best in the state of Indiana. A genealogist is present on Thursday.
They have a temporary exhibit here now that is based on stained glass fragments gathered by a priest during WWII. Novel collection and uses of art glass. I was very suprised by the quality of the work. This is a very small place but this is the best exhibit they have had in the 10 years I have been stopping in. Remembered Light: Glass Fragments from World War IIThe McDonald Windows exhibit is the main attraction for me right now.
