drove here to see the colors. It was very nice. It would be a great place for families in the summer. It used to be a mine, my waitress told me, and they filled it with water. Its so deep you can scuba dive. It was worth the extra miles to see, but there is a $3 entrance fee. If they are closed at the station, they rely on the honor system. Be sure to check it out.

We drove around the park a couple of years ago, and now have a small trailered sailboat(12 ft), and needed a smaller lake with no jet ski or power boat idiots competing . We have larger power boats, but this is a wind and paddle spot No gas motors allowed, so this lake is perfect to get experience on, with a day entrance fee of $3.00 per car, very affordable. Nice paved landing for a light trailer and a floating dock. Scuba diving is popular, but they have dive flags, so, that's not an issue! Everybody gets along, and they allow dogs on leash in most areas Camping is limited, and the campground is small, in the trees, and not too near the lake itself. The beach area is around the other end, but looks beautiful, and would be a great swim(no dogs allowed on beach area,though.) You need to bring in your own food and drink supplies, no park concession other than a soda machine. It must be very nice at night for camping, which is what we intend, next visit,which will be soon....close to Black River Falls, so there is food available there.

We just drove around this lake and stopped to admire the deep blue clear water. I think I will be back with my kayak on a future trip!

Good visibility, multiple entry locations, this place is set up for a diver!!!! Multiple dive attractions, including a rock wall, underwater forest and multiple dive platforms at varying depths. A nice beach and look out areas make this a great way to spend a day or longer!
