This is a favorite spot for our family. Great hike, beautiful views by the bluff, excellent marsh area for bird watching. Fun hike down the gorge to the beach. Wildflowers are plentiful, especially love the asters and goldenrod in the fall.

One of the nicest places to hike in the area. Never too crowded, great place to walk your dog, ON A LEASH. And clean up your own mess!!! Open year round, fun place to explore.

I love walking here. The parking lot may be full but I rarely run into anyone. When you do everyone is polite. Taking the stairs down to the lake are nice. Great place!!

This area was not always open to the public, but has now been upgraded to a full scale nature area. It is right on Lake Michigan and has well marked trails, and a step system down the ravine to the beach. It is just beautiful. The Triliums in late April early May are stunning.

This preserve was little known years past located along the cliffs ofLake Michigan. Easy walking trails, you can get to the beach with ease. A must visit.

I almost hate to share this wonderful little bit of nature. The paths are well marked and maintained for easy walking thru a variety of habitat. There are stairs down to the beach with handrail & places to stop for the less fit. You can get great views from above, too. A great place to experience nature- take grandma, the kids, or the dog. Stop in nearby Port Washington for lunch along the lake.

This spot has great bird life and beautiful views of Lake Michigan. It is also dog friendly for leashed dogs. I like the variety of habitat-- woods, bluffs, lake shore, fields, and a waterfowl pond. It makes for good birdwatching. The paths are well maintained. There is a lot of poison ivy along the edges of the paths.

A small nature preserve located in a county park located just North of Milwaukee. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the bluff. Hiking trail and bridge/stair system get you along the bluff down the gorge to the lake. The park is pet friendly and the trails are mostly flat and easy to negotiate. some areas, but not to the lake are wheelchair accessible. You can do the whole park in less than two hours or stay for an extended period. If you are a bird spotter, adjacent to the gorge is a US Fish and Wildlife Bird Sanctuary.
