Middle to upscale mall with excellent mix of shops. The mall remains fresh thanks to major renivations that have been going on the past few years. Anchor stores include Sears, Macy's, Target and Dick's Sportings Goods.

There are many stores in this mall. It has 2 department stores, Macy's & Sears. Also a Dick's sporting goods store and a Target which sells grocery items.

Stores here have more of a selection than most malls in metropolitan Pittsburgh. The mall is clean and there is plenty of parking.

I believe that the Simon Properties have come to realize that some very needed updating is needed to this property. It just has not changed very much since it opened. They have tried to do a couple of changes, but one that is sorely needed is a place for the smokers, employees and visitors to smoke. If you enter through the side entrance to the mall proper, not Macy's entrance, you get smoke on your clothing. Being a former smoker I just thing that a better place could be found for them.

I met my Ex-Wife, The Mother of my Kids, The GrandMother of my Grandkids, at this Mall!So it's an important place. I also grew up shopping here! Almost every Saturday Nightmy parents went to South Hills Village to shop. I still like it when I'm in town. I'll pop over to Eat'nPark Restaurant next door for a Super Burger, then go to South Hills Village to either shop, or just look at people. That's fun too!

This is a great, clean, middle class mall. You don't have to worry about thugs walking around this mall. It's generally upper middle class, and, for the most part, family friendly.For the kids it has a Disney store! That is my kids' favorite. But it also has a big toy store, a build a bear workshop, Auntie Anne's pretzels, and a terrific food court.My wife loves the Banana Republic and the great Macy's! For the guys, it has a Dick's Sporting Goods right there in the mall. The only complaint I have with the place is the line of smutty lingerie stores that stretch from the center of the mall all the way to only a door or two away from the Disney store. It just seems highly inappropriate to have kids walking past windows filled with images of mostly naked women on their way to see the Disney store. But the economy stinks, and smut sells, I suppose.My family and I love this mall, and its indoor fountain, into which the kids love to throw a penny.

"Access" Cabs are forced to drop off in an area off to one side of the mall where there are no elevators or escalators. Their claim is they don't want "these people" in the food court which is usually crammed with teenagerrs who rarely have any food on their tables. They will not let drop offs occur at the anchor resturants either, which forces a walk across the entire mall. By the way most of the benches and rest couches have been removed which force the old folks to sit on the plantar walls or the fountain. My family member, who is 75 and very unsteady, took over an hour to pay a bill at the Cell Phone store becasue she had to work her way across the entire mall. She was not able to eat at the resturant she wanted to because the elevators and escalators are in the center and the mamagemen only allows the cabs to drop off on the very end where ther are none of these facilities.

South Hills Village has a very nice assortment of stores, restaurants, movie theater, etc. There is plenty of parking and lots to see and do. I love visiting here!

South Hills Village is way out-of-the-way unless you're visiting relatives in the South Hills. No freeway comes anywhere near the mall, and there isn't anything a traveler might want to do around the mall. If you're driving, you can spend hours sitting at red light after red light on twisty, turny, two-lane roads; if you're taking the trolley, it's an hour-and-a-half from Downtown. If you're not driving, the Macy's downtown, the Target in East Liberty, the mall stores lining Walnut Street in Shadyside, and the big-box stores of the Waterfront are all within a 10-20 minute bus ride of most hotels. If you're driving, parking is best at the Waterfront or out at the Mall at Robinson, which is right off of I-376.

South Hills villiage isn't the biggest mall around, but after half a century it's still thriving. I watched it being built and spent alot of time there over the decades. Always a nice place to shop.

South Hills Village has the anchor store of Macy's which holds the place together. Soon they will be gaining a second anchor with a large Target due to open in the spring of 2013. There is also a Sears, but I have never been a fan of that brand. The mall has a nice variety of stores,including several clothing and jewelry stores, but a few of the better stores include a very nice Apple store and a nice new Victoria's Secret. There is also The Walking Company if you are a fan of Ugg's. This mall lacks some of the higher end stores one might expect, there are no designer stores represented, but they do have J Crew and Abercrombie for the younger set. The mall is always clean, feels safe and the food court has a good variety of options.

There was a time, probably about 5 years ago, that this was the best mall in pittsburgh to shop and gather when the weather was bad, etc. Now, time and age has started to take its' toll on South Hills Village. There are entrances to this mall that are literally falling apart. Crumbling roof tops at the entrance near the lower side of Macy's have been there for at least a year, with new "stuff" hanging down ready to fall on the unsuspecting shopper. The only indication that they care is a haphazardly thrown together yellow caution like tape that has been there sporadically over time. The ONE set of escalators in the mall are constantly breaking down for long periods of time. I was just shopping there today and the down escalator was broken AGAIN. While I don't mind the walking, it is constantly an issue at this mall.The food court should be relabeled as the "oriental food destination". While I enjoy oriental food quite a bit, do I really need 3 separate choices out of a possible of 10 restaurants or so that sell that type of food? Come on, where is the variety? Oh right, they are at Ross Park mall and the Mall at Robinson, that is where they are. Ross Park has a Five Guys, a Chick Fil A and other delectable offerings. South Hills Village's answer? They have none...They offer "free Wi-Fi" as a "gift" to their shoppers. It took me, no kidding, fifteen minutes just to get logged into the service.So why am I so passionate in my dissatisfaction of this mall? It is because the mall staff doesn't seem to care. They bought their security guards, get this, SEGWAY'S to zip around the mall on but they can't keep the elevator and escalators working? Segway's! Are you kidding me? The mall is the smallest in Pittsburgh and they are riding Segway's. What a joke.This place used to be where you went to shop if you lived in the South Hills and wanted to avoid the slum that is Century 3 Mall. The sad part? South Hills Village appears to be heading down that path. In the future, I am going to head out to the Mall at Robinson to shop. Maybe there I won't get run down by Deputy Dog riding his Segway through a mall that is about the size of a closet...

A lot of nice and unique restaurants and shops in the village to see.

SHV has seen better days. You've seen one chain store, you've seen them all. If you have a problem, don't bother going to the Mall Manager. They can't be bothered.

This mall is one of my favorites. Very nice selection of stores. Something for everyone in our family.
