I want to love this place... New bowling alleys, Awesome arcade, Nice bar/restaurant, but I've been to Revolutions twice now, and the service always falls short. On the first visit, we were seated to dine, and after waiting at the table for quite a while, I had to ask the hostess to send a waiter over to take our orders. On the second visit, we saw our waitress right away, but she apologized profusely because the kitchen was running slow. Bowling is okay, but the kids' lighter weight bowling alleys seem to get stuck easily. The arcade is over-priced, and there is only one person working up there. One of the machines took our credits but was not working properly. My daughter told the lady at the prize desk and she said she would call someone up. We waited at the game for 20 minutes and no attendant showed up. Prize desk lady refunded our credits. Game was still not fixed or marked "Out of Order" to warn the next group of kids who wanted to play so I found that unsatisfying. They NEED more than one staff member in the arcade on a busy Saturday afternoon. UGHHHH!
My husband and i just had one of the worst eating experiences we've ever had. We were greeting and seated fairly quickly. It was all downhill from there. We noticed that there was a huge party going on in the back. Not a problem, we thought. We were sure that management planned cook and waitstaff accordingly. Boy, were we wrong. We waited to have our order taken. We got our drinks in average time. Food took forever. The appetizer and soup came out at the same time as the rest of the food. My husband's sandwich was not edible. We will never go back.
After walking through the stinky smokers gauntlet to get in, we sat at a table for 10 minutes as the staff chatted by the front greeters area, and over behind the bar. It was not a full or busy night but after waiting a while we gave up and left.
Average. Nice place to bowl, much cleaner and nicer than your run of the mill bowling alleys! Food can get expensive, as well as arcades! But it is a very nice place to go with a group of friends if you have money to blow! Had my birthday party here, and had a great time.
I went for happy hour place was not crowded got seated right away. Ordered drinks they came out right away some of the reviews said they had to wait a while so I ordered appetizers with the drinks they came out and about 5 minutes. we got the salsa spicy cheese dip guacamole appetizer combo. very disappointing cheese dip was not spicy at all guacamole taste like it came out of a can and salsa was bland no taste or spice to it.I got the Buffalo and the Jamaican jerk wings Buffalo had barely any heat to it & the Jamaican Jerk had nice flavor to it. The reviews I read before always said the service was slow but that was not the case, but the food could have had a little more flavor to it. I definitely will go back the try different things, the place is nice but the food needs to get better.
The bowling, pool and arcade are cool. Prices aren't bad for that. The food however is underwhelming and actually not good. I got French Onion Soup, and it was broth with onions that weren't even cooked properly. It also took them FOREVER to get us a flatbread pizza and quesidillas. Very underwhelming.
While visiting gchildren and family over the holidays we thought Revolutions would be a fun time while having a nice lunch. Bowling was fun and food was ordered. The flatbread with balsamic, garlic, feta and toppings was very interesting but the huge cloves of garlic on it was just wrong.......really, not even chopped garlic but large cloves, uneatable. The cheeseburger was ordered medium and it came way overdone and apparently had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. This was sent back but the waitress kindly took it off the bill. Nice atmosphere for adults, kids, viewing tvs, and games. We will return and hope for a better dining experience.,
My friend and I came here last night after she was done work for dinner. We saw the website, and it looked really good. They had a big menu online. We went in and got carded because after 10 you have to be 18 or older to get in, which was pretty nice-that meant no screaming teeny boppers around. We sat down and it took literally 10 minutes for someone to come to our table just to ask what we wanted to drink. I ordered a beer and my friend ordered a cocktail. We placed our orders when we ordered drinks because we already knew what we wanted. We both got steak. The manager comes over about 5 minutes later while our waitress came over to tell us my friend's drink would be a bit longer because they ran out of citron vodka...He tells us there is only one steak left that we can have, because the rest are frozen, and the one they were going to use shrunk, so we had to switch it for a rib eye, but it would be on the house. We said ok, thinking that it is fine since we wouldn't be charged. About 6 or 7 minutes passed, and we got our food. It looked great. I had my beer and we had our waters, but my friend still didn't have her cocktail. Literally like 15, 20 minutes had passed. How can you run out of citron on a Saturday night, and why would it take that long to get it from the storage room? It was ridiculous. My friend and I split our steaks, so we each got a little of both. The one we both were supposed to have was cooked perfectly. Great flavor, but a little chewy. The rib eye was almost all fat, but it is a fatty cut. The broccoli was bland and frozen, but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. The good part was that it wasn't mush. The cheddar mashed potatoes were very good, except when I chewed a whole clove of garlic and burned my esophagus. We were pretty much done our meals, and my friend just told them to forget the drink, since it still hadn't come. When we finally got the bill, we got charged for 2 steaks. We had to wait for our waitress to come around and tell her to double check with the manager because he said one was on the house. She came back and he comped everything but the beer. We both objected, but they did it anyway. Although a nice gesture to try and save 2 returning customers, I would've never done that. He lost the place over $40, which doesn't seem like a lot, but it is. Overall, I would not recommend this place for food. Besides her being slow, nothing was the waitress' fault. It was poor management. I am a food management student and learned about all of this stuff in school. They did not order enough food, or plan well enough. It needs better managed, definitely. I'm not sure about the bowling, but it seemed like it would be fun. The atmosphere was very fun. Overall, it was a very poor dining experience, and I will not be returning, unfortunately.
Went with my best friends from the area. Was expecting adult type games, ( golf, basketball). Arcade at Chuckie cheese was better! Food was terrible. Potato soup was ok. Burgers are better at McDonald's. bar staff were friendly and attentive and told us the place won't last. House music is constant and annoying. Bowling is $30 an hour. What if two ppl want to play one game?! This didn't include rentals. Beautiful building and idea but falls very, very short of what adults would want in lieu of the typical Saturday night bar scene. P.S. any place that had more security (cops?) than patrons is ghetto and no worth the $70 dinner bill for two burgers and a French dip on a soggy hot dog cardinal roll. Don't waste the time and money. Go to the casino
Revolutions is a hybrid pool hall, bowling alley, game arcade, bar and restaurant. There's something for everyone. We did the bowling and pizza package - a good deal for 4 "grownups" on a rainy afternoon. Food & drink service was right to the alley and the pizza surprisingly tasty. The first floor also offered pool tables. Upstairs were the arcade games - for "kids" of all ages. There are a number of other packages available, including ones for students. A good time at a reasonable price!
Wings were perfect and the garlic goat cheese flat bread was the best I had. Would love to come back and try the bowling lanes.
I checked this place out over the weekend and I have to say that it was a very nice first impression. Was greeted at the door and given a tour. So I figured that I'd sit at the bar and eat. Really nice restaurant with all of the TV's all over the place. The food was just bad. I had the fried Mozzarella and it was just too salty. It was even a little burnt on the bottom. Probably thought I wouldn't notice it since the nicer side was showing. Then I had the cheese steak. Never again. Born and raised in Philly I know my cheese steaks and this was farrrrrrrrr from it. There was grissel in almost every bite. The only reason that I would even go back would be to take my nieces and nephews there to bowl or the arcade but I would rather go to the pizza place there or even Starters before I subject them to eat there. Too bad. This place could be a one stop place but the food was a 1 star.
1st visit to Revolutions during Happy Hour! Beer was cold appetizers were delicious entertainment for the whole family!
