I love all the shops in the outlets. Charming Charlie's is my favorite! It has all the accessories you could ever imagine! It also has a Coach store, an Under Armor store, Dress Barn, etc. It's a nice place to spend the evening.
I didn't like the dress I had brought to the hotel for New Year's Eve. So we went to the Sands which was near by and they had so many dresses to choose from. It was great! I did get a nice dress and felt very comfortable on New Year's Eve.
I was expecting more stores and was disappointed. I think there was better variety downtown and wouldn't need to go back. Typical food court and you could smell smoke from casino.
Good shops here. Coach, DKNY, Tommy Hilfinger, just to name a few. Really awesome prices too. Bought 2 jeans, 2 shirts and 2 packs of tee shirts at Hilfinger for less then $100 with all the discounts. Cheaper then Levi's jeans and much more comfortable. Can't wait to come back after Christmas to to buy some more stuff.
"Outlet" malls have become all the rage lately, but they are just shopping malls- NOT outlets, as they once were. No great bargains but much variety. The Shoppes at Sands is no different: it is another outlet mall, but with a slight twist: the prices seemed to be a bit better than the same stores in other outlet malls. The place is clean and pleasant. Presentation is excellent ( one of the nicest Kay's Jewelers stores I've ever seen), staff is helpful and friendly but not pushy. Big attraction is the Farmer's Almanac store. It is quirky with a country twist to a Harry & David's. Downhome with friendly staff and an assortment of "folksy" items that will amaze you. It is an attraction of it's own and dropping a few hundred $$ there is real easy. I'm not much of a "shopper" but this outlet mall deserves your time, as it got mine. Add a super-nice food court and you have a positive shopping experience.
We visited the Almanac Store--the farmers almanac!!! in a store--brought to life. Very kitschy, but very reprentative of what your life would be like if you are a fan of the Farmer's Almanc like I am.
We didn't see anything special here but I will say that the salespeople in the few stores we entered were very friendly and helpful.
The burger was good, cheese tasty, great bun, but the price is typical over priced casino food. I want a single patty cheese burger, got a double with a trace of grilled onions, asked for relish and got two Heinz packaged relish which I hate.. fries were cold. Order taker was not fluent in english , extremely pretty but it took 3-4 tries to get my order wrong LOL. No one cleaning the tables at all...I love a good hotdog, BUT NATHANS SUCK.. why can't one buy a good old HOTDOG like Yocco's has anywhere? AND try to find a website for MO's Burgers..
We stop at the outlets in the Sands when in the area. The women's clothing selection is very good...guys not so good. Talbots, Coach men and women, Under Armor, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Peeps, Chicos and more. Food court is good. Peeps outlet is very cool. There is nowhere to sit in the outlet mall except in the food court.
NIce stores. Good prices. My son got some great shoes at the Bass store. I would have liked to have eaten at the food court but the cigarette smell there was nauseating. You can actually smell cigarettes throughout the whole mall but the closer you get to the casino the worse it is. Something must be wrong with the ventilation system.
Perfect climate for shopping and you don't have to go outside. It is small but they have a little of everything. I loved the Peeps Store and the Farmer's Almanac store the best.
We were not expecting too much, so we were not disappointed with the small store count. We came here because we wanted to visit three specific stores and were glad to see they had a nice selection. We went into Corningwear, Lenox and the General store to find what we were looking for. We walked through the casino, so we could say we saw it and then went on our way. We did not eat there because the food seemed priced higher than we thought it should. I guess this mall is for folks who are staying at the hotel or visiting the casino. I do not think many folks would go here on a shopping outing.
Only downfall, the floors in this place. Plain old concrete. Hard on back and legs. The shops are great - food court is good too.
This is the smallest outlet mall I have ever shopped. The two stores I liked and bought products in was the Coach Outlet (65% off at that time) and the Peeps store for my kids. We tried the two kitchen products stores but found there were not really good deals here. At the Corningwear store, the staff member gave us flat out wrong information and we were able to find what we were looking for online cheaper at Amazon. We only went to the mall because we were staying at the Sands for a concert the next night. We went through the mall in less than 90 minutes. We are used to outlet malls with 150+ stores. Unless you live very close to this place or are staying at the hotel, there for a show at the Event Center, or are there to gamble, I'd skip this place.
while the overall prices are quite steep, a bargain can still be found. The shops are mostly quiet and not at all crowded with accommodating staff.
