Depending on when you visit the mansion, you will see different things. I've been here a few times. It's a beautifully restored old mansion with a great story behind it. You will wish that you grew up in it. At Christmas time, it is particularly pretty.

The Hanover Historical Society provides tour of this grand old mansion. There's quality in every detail of this brick and marble structure which was completed in 1914. If you have the time, it's definitely worth a tour.

Open only on Wednesday and Saturday for a tour, but worth the wait. If visiting Hanover or Gettysburg, it is worth the time to visit this house and take the tour offered. Learn some of the early history of Hanover and enjoy looking at how people lived during the early 1900's. Well worth the time.

We were in town visiting family and decided to fill some time visiting this mansion. It has very limited hours, open for just a few hours in the afternoon on Saturday. I didn't expect much, honestly, just a nicely furnished home. But I was quite surprised to find many delightful treasures at every turn. We had a private tour - we arrived and immediately a docent began a tour for us. We were allowed to linger and go at our own pace. Many wonderful collections and ornate furniture. The grounds are lovely, and just a very short walk away is the arboretum, full of fabulous 100 year old trees - worth a quick stroll and nice for some photo-ops. I think our total time was about 90 minutes.
