I only go to Freddy Hill for the ice cream and Tastycakes. I love the variety of flavors. You can choose to get a cup, cone or milkshake. My favorite is the extra thick vanilla milkshake. Take the kids to view the farm for a quick visit while getting ice cream. The farm also has fallfest but I prefer Merrymead for that. It's always busy in summer especially the mini golf and ice cream line.

Okay, admittedly, I sometimes look at the ratings of previous reviewers before I write and submit my own. Okay, maybe I do that every time, but that's not the point. The point is, most of the time, I can look at those ratings and say to myself, "looks representative of my personal perspective". However, I have to disagree with the general consensus on this one. I happen to have found the experience at Freddy Hill Farms to be quite above average. My family of four met my Mom here on a Friday night and I can tell you we easily enjoyed ourselves for a full 2.5 hours for under 45 bucks without even batting an eye lash. That included driving a huge bucket of golf balls for my wife and I, miniature golf for the girls and their Grand Mom and ice cream for everyone. Now, I'm sorry, but you tell me where you are finding good family entertainment for under $9 per person anywhere... I would strongly recommend making this a destination for your Summertime living. If you go, and you want to drive golf balls, bring your own driver. They charge $4 per person to use one of their "clubs". My wife and I agreed this was a bit ridiculous, considering their clubs may as well be branches collected from trees downed during Hurricane Sandy. Other than that, this place is giving you the best it can for a very good value.

We go to Freddy Hill for ice cream all the time. They have a decent variety of flavors and the ice cream is average. I actaully would have expected something a bit better from a local diary. I have noticed that some flavors are very creamy and others are not. For some reason the vanilla fudge swirl, is not as creamy as other flavors and almost icy. The cookies and cream on the other and is very creamy and fantastic. We still go there regularly only because it's right down the road.

Animals in the back behind the ice cream store that you can view but not pet. A big mini golf, driving range and batting cages at reasonable prices. Ice cream a little expensive but it's priced by weight. Overall it's fun for a toddler or teenager.

Went to Freddy Hill Farms to play miniature golf and have some ice cream with my daughter and granddaughter. The golfing was fun for all of us, and one of us (who will remain unnamed!) even won a free game with a hole-in-one on the 18th hole!! After the golf, we had some ice cream, which was not so good. It had an artificial taste and none of us finished our servings, which is really an amazing thing from me and my daughter. I think we might try the golf again, but we definitely won't be going back for ice cream.

This place is located in Montgomeryville, not Montgomery. Montgomeryville is 2 hours south of Montgomery.

The small animal zoo might be fun for kids to look at, but the owners obviously don't know how to take care of the poor animals. They have the animals on small slabs of concrete in deplorable conditions. I'm surprised animal control hasn't shut them down yet. They should donate these poor animals to a zoo or real farm, like Merry Meade, where they know how to care for the animals instead of just exploiting them.

This place always had one of the best mini golf courses. It's a bit far from us, so I rarely used to go there, but now being one of the only one's left, we went there in April, and it is really worth giving it a good review. The mini golf courses are really nice. Fun and in good condition! It's family oriented so there is a nice crowd of people. We didn't stop for ice cream this time, but we've enjoyed that in the past!We also visisted the farm when the kids were younger - they loved it!There seem to be few such places around anymore... hope this one stays around for a long time!

Just as the name implies, this is more than just a farm. While they do grow corn and pumpkins (that you can pick yourself in the fall), they also have turned more than a few acres into an activity center for mini golf, driving range, batting cages, as well as seasonal themed activities. The two miniature golf courses, "Discover America" and "Waterfront Adventure" are excellent. They feature very interesting holes and waterways, are well landscaped, and kept clean. The "Discover America" is our children's favorite because of the cave on one of the holes. Each hole on this course also has a plaque explaining a unique natural feature of the country. The batting cages and driving range are good, and the farm store sells great ice cream which you need after an hour on the mini golf course. Our daughters have had birthday parties here and it's always a success even if it rains thanks to the pavilion. In the fall they have a great fall festival with a medium/small corn maze, craft activities, hay rides, pig races, and pick your own pumpkins. Our least favorite area here is the "petting" zoo. While they have unusual animals to see, the hand washing area, fencing, and walkways could use an upgrade. All-in-all it's a great place to go for a few hours with the kids or to polish that drive or batting technique.
